**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

So for normal day to day usage within games we should have VSync = Off and Gsync = On?

And we should limit the FPS in games so we don't hit the cap i.e 120Hz refresh rate with a limit on the FPS rendered in a game set to 119Hz??

How are people setting the FPS limit? Tried looking in the NVCP but don't see anything specific under Manage 3D Applications.

Right, I shall say this only once (said in Allo, Allo voice).

Open up the Nvidia Control Panel:
Set G-Sync to on
Set V-Sync to on
Make sure your games have V-Sync off in the settings (Edited as I made a mistake).

That's it!

I've been playing around with different settings and v-sync off in the cp definitely feels more responsive in faster fps stuff, no issue with either on or off tbh, it may be that i'm hitting 180fps rather than any lag. Been really enjoying taking out snipers with explosive cross bow kills :p.

OK thanks, and how about limiting FPS on certain titles how ar you achieving this?

Also you said "Make sure your games have V-Sync off in the settings (and in the global 3D settings)" however you said above to set V-Sync to ON in the NVCP. Isn't "V-Sync Off in Global 3D settings" the same settigns and V-Sync On in the NVCP?

Sorry for the confusion.

So are we defo Vsync offing now? :D

I have tried these settings since you said it the last time before this last time and it does seem better. Games like JC3 and ACs play very smoothly now.

I saw this too. Greg needs to re-edit that post

V-Sync has to be on in global settings/NCP. Just shut V-Sync off in what ever game you're playing settings.

Lol

Anyone playing FO4?

Definitely not smooth, just feels off, anyone else get this?

Not for awhile but it was smooth the last time I played it. Will fire it up and have a look as I am waiting for the latest update on ED.

Edit:

Yer, sometimes a little judder but I put that down to the frame cap in game and not letting G-Sync do its thing? Deffo not as smooth as it should be though

That's was what made things slightly confusing. You made the edit and the video you just uploaded straighten it all out for everyone now. Nice one :)

Just realised my horror is still on post 1 -
please remove this disgusting piece of junk from post 1. Thanks

Acer Predator XB280HK - Varkanoid

On another note I've got a PG279Q burning a hole in the floor next to me at work waiting to try. Bit apprehensive whether I got a good one or not.
So hopefully this can replace it.

Parabellum whats yours like did you get a good one and what is the manufacturer date?
