Will, your a sucker for anything new regardless of performance :p no need to sell a GT for the minimal fps gained with GTS, its crazy, though as you say, £190 for your GT would be a good price to sell it for, but you got to do it now before everywhere gets good stock in. All depends how much the GTS will be though, £200 -£220, that's ok, anything more then no chance.

SELL!! SELL!! SELL!!

What is the exact launch date for the new GTS? Is there going to be ample stock available on release date or is it going to be like the GT?

I'm worried I'll be sucked into the hype anyway and proberbly flog my GT for a GTS but I need to know the prices

Ditto...

If it's around £200 and if I can still get a decent price for my GT by then I'd probably do it.

I'm only even considering it because its a 10p listing day today :p, sticking the GT up, some games, ram and me old mobo, aint bothered if I dont sell the GT since there is a gainward up for super cheap but I thought what the hell I might aswell try :p.

If you think of selling do it today, I only do it because of 10p listing day so its cheap as chips to sell today :p

wow you people are really assuming a lot of things here. you'd be cardless, and then potentially face a massive price on launch. think about it more before you sell a good card for something slightly better, for a lot more

Yeah but the final value fee will give you a heart attack, I've just recently received an invoice from the bay asking for £10 final value fee for the 2900XT I've sold for £160.

If I do sell it it's gonna be in MM. But if I still can't get enough info closer to launch date regarding price and performance then I won't do it.

if its over the £200 mark then nvidia are just shooting their selves in the foot as it would be wiser to buy 2 x 3870's or a GTX off the MM (thats what ill be doing anyway) but will await more revies. cant be long now as its due out on the 11th? ;)

My dad got an £11 fee whats that all about? will it be like 40 quid for like 5 items?

"NVIDIA always takes pride in having stock when the NDA is lifted, and it doesn’t look like this is going to be any different. A few suppliers have told us that they have ordered their stock and come December 11th they will be shipping their cards off to the local retailers.

This is all good and well, but the 8800GT had stock for about five minutes. Will we see the same issue with the new 8800GTS 512MB? Well, for starters the card is going to cost about 25 - 50 quids more than the RRP of the 8800GT. The problem is that the 8800GT is in such short supply that the card’s price has been jacked up 25 -40 quids meaning that the card could almost come in at the same price."

The GTS will come in on December 11th and be fairly well priced at around 190-240 pounds!! HAHA!! Get one soon!

I didn't really have a choice in this matter. I had a 2900XT and it was a case of sell it 2 weeks ago for about £140, or wait till mid December when the GT and GTS were available and get about £80 for it :)

Isnt the new 9800 due out just a month or so after these? If so why is everyone buying an 8800?
It's not out until April 2008 or thereabouts.

Yes, I saw that, but I am asking why even release it without that in in the first place?

I mean, pretty much anything can run Source Engine games well these days, and who even caresa about F.E.A.R anymore?

Hear, hear! Only interested in Crysis benchmarks; who cares if you can get 300fps in Source Engine, LOL

They could've saved all their effort and just done Crysis benchmarks...

Not going to jump from my OCed 8800GT to this, will wait for a better cards next year.

This is quite interesting actually.

Crysis @ 1920x1200 - High settings

8800GTS 768mb OC2 26.3fps
8800GTS 512mb (new) 27fps
8800GT 512mb 24.5fps

If it clocks well it could be a beast of a card. Just about ultra performance there!
