**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

No price cuts on their cards.
You're still not explaining what that has anything to do with what I said.

And Nvidia *do* have price cuts. If not, they rely on retailers to discount where appropriate.

No additional cards due to lack of competition.
WHAT?

They released the GTX1070 with no competition. They released the GTX1080 - no competition. Then without provocation, they released the Titan X - obviously nothing remotely close to being called 'competition'.

Disregarding that you're still not at all explaining what any of this has to do with what I said, I have no idea what you're talking about.

NVidia don't have to do anything as they are raking it in.
And yet they are still at work anyways, because you dont stay ahead of the competition by sleeping.

For the third time - what does this have to do with the comments I made?

I'm quite positive that I was 100% correct in saying you were doing nothing but making some generic anti-Nvidia post that wasn't really riffing off anything I said at all. I just dont get the motivation for it, either. Do you feel it gets you forum karma or something?

Respond to what I'm saying or at least say something interesting and fresh for christ's sake. This is just boring to me. I'd love to have a good conversation but you are definitely not satisfying your end of the bargain.

NVidia are like the Ferengi when it comes to giving money away, it is not going to happen !!!!

Are you suggesting nvidia would not be interested in making even more money? I dare say they won't be selling at a loss with a 1080Ti at £800. Certainly wouldn't be throwing charity money at us at that price point. Would sell many more units than TXP too.

Not going to lie. I've been waiting for this thread for over 12 months.
For over a year I have been dead cert on buying a 1080Ti when it came out.
But with the pricing of the last 6 months from Nvidia, I really don't know if I can justify it. I mean, It's going to be 800-1000£ for sure. And probably 1000. Crazy

Nividia pricing won't change until this changes.

This is what happens to your share price when you have no competition.

Indeed. I hope that they'd drop the 1070 and 1080 down and slot this in at around the £600 mark. But i very much doubt that would happen.

but its jumped up in 2016... most that say there is no competition will tell you its been like this for few years not just in 2016. So that graph doesn't reflect this at all.

Yeah no way. If they bring it out soon it will be £1000. If they wait a while, it MIGHT* be at the lowest £800 (assuming they drop Titan to £1000. But I doubt it. Probably somewhere around £900.

I really want it. as I see the Ti cards as having the longest lifespan and actually (all things considered) best "value". But I simply can't drop that amount on a GPU. You can buy an excellent jetski for that money, or a decent used car. It's just daft.

I'm only willing to pay £600-ish for a GPU. If the 1080ti is £800-£1000 then I'll just wait for the 1170 which will have the same performance.

If people want to pay £800-£1000 for a gpu then that's up to them, but I simply won't be doing it regardless of share price, or market share or whatever.
