**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

If I am in the market for a 1080TI card that I will not be overclocking, price irrelevant (£1000+ would be extreme) water cooled/custom fan off the table, never bothered about the design/detail of said card, resale value is of no use to me as I end up giving/throwing my cards away each cycle which one should I be buying?

I never purchased the Founders Edition cards as the custom ones supposedly had better fans, slight boosts to clocks etc. So which one will be the best to buy? No brand loyalty from me. Purchase site loyalty though for sure <3.

I'd also like further opinions (if I don't end up just keeping my Titan XP) now that more info on clocks etc have been released by the various manufacturers.

I have a mATX case (Corsair Air 240) and EVGA X99 Micro 2 motherboard. Card size dimensions aren't an issue although I would prefer to keep within a slot size (instead of 2.5 slot).

A binned card would be great but also looking for a decent factory OC, good cooling (important due to case size and with having it in a TV unit), 6/8 pin would be good but can do 8/8 if needed.

The Gigabyte looked decent until I read it doesn't have a backplate (which I'd prefer), the Strix is probably a bit on the large size, MSI, EVGA SC2 (2 slot and 6/8 pin)?? The Inno3d look pretty awesome but 2.5 slot. Hmmmmm.

It would be really great if there was an online comparison chart but maybe it's a little too soon.

Price and waiting time isn't an issue as my Titan XP is holding up very well obviously and would actually make sense to wait for some reviews.

Thanks.

OK thanks guys.

I'll probably re-assess the situation once some time has passed and the reviews are in.

I just hope the TXP doesn't lose too much value in the coming months but maybe there's a niche market for them - especially if anyone looking to SLI (which is another option for me if I see one on the bay for little money)

If you look at the time spy bench thread at the gfx scores not the overall score which is affected by CPU the Titan is still top and untill we see binned GPU's that can run faster on the limited voltage adjustments it's not worth changing a titan for a Ti as the gain just isn't there. Yes the Ti has greater memory speed but in my testing with the Titan some times faster memory didn't mean higher score. It's like the memory timings kinda slow down when you push memory to far. The core speed counts the most i have found.

Finding the core and memory sweet spot gives the better score.

Keep the Titan and wait for Volta is what i will do. Sli does not intrest myself but of course that's my own view.
