**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Which PSU is it paired with, Hudzy?

It's a fairly old Corsair HX1050. I'm going to swap it out tomorrow just to eliminate it as a cause.

I can't fault the MSI otherwise... fans are as quiet as I expect from them and the jump in frames was pretty amazing from the 1070 at 3440x1440.

Cheers for the feedback, Hudzy. Hope you get it sorted without much trouble.

I ordered the Zotac Amp Extreme on Thursday night. Wanted to know if I'd be one of the few who might receive it next week given the schedule of cards stated by Gibbo, so I called CS this morning.

Looks like I'm 30 something in the queue, but he wasn't sure if I'd would get one next week as it depends on how many OCUK receive. I was told OCUK ordered 100 of each Zotac card.

I was mis Informed then, was told 2 x 100 orders of amp extreme, however if your 30 something in the queue i must be much lower, i ordered on the 10th march, seems like forever tbh i expect to get one this next week, other resellers are shipping custom cards.

I might have misheard, as things were a bit noisy around me at the time :)

My 980Ti gets very hot, up to 70c even with the MSI gaming cooler, worse since i moved to 1440p and 165hz, strains the card a lot and it can start to get a bit noisy even with that good air cooler.

Can't wait to see how much quieter & cooler a 1080Ti will be even with the Eiswolf on it, since GPU's seem to benefit a lot from water i guess it will make a large difference.. Probably 20- c difference.

I've the same card as you clocked to 1450 and it hits 60's in gaming. Card is fine. I'd check the airflow in your case.

For all those who have pre-ordered the EVGA FTW3, EVGA made a mistake with the length of the card. It's actually longer at 11.37in (288.798mm)

EVGA are letting people change their pre order if the card is too long for their case. Good job I've got a 900D.

MSI Armor 1080ti fully installed and it is a BEAST. 1911 Mhz boost clock out of the box (why do they market it as 1645???). Managed to ramp it up to 2035 before hitting the danger zone, All while keeping it in the 73 degree region. Looks great too, what a win.

because that's the minimum speed they guarantee. If you was struggling to hit say 1800Mhz on boost and wanted to RMA because of this then they can just say card is running within normal operation. Either way sounds a beast and not bad temps :)
