**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Hi guys, I have the chance to get the watercooled MSI Seahawk X for the same price as the MSI Gaming X and Gigabyte Aorus Extreme (euro pricing). Question is, should I go for the Seahawk X or the Aorus Extreme? The Seahawk seems to be the more expensive card in most places.

Aorus everytime!

Zotac Extreme and Aorus Extreme are the only cards being reported to boost at over 2000MHz out the box and they also have overclocked memory as a bonus too. :)

Plus the 4yr and 5yr warranties, these two brands are superior to MSI. :)

Expensive, mainly due to the fact that it is an AIO imo. I heard a few people had awful coil whine on those Seahawk X's. Might just be bad luck though. Bet it would be awesome for temps and better OC's. I reckon having a blower fan on there also kind of defeats the point of having the liquid cooler, in terms of sound output.

Your way better of buying an FE at £650 and then adding your own AIO or H20 block, you get better performance and save money. :)

Looks really small and can't see it?

Also, as a side note..Heaven reports 2025Mhz highest speed and all other monitoring software 1979Mhz highest. So, I am inclined to ignore Heaven's reported speed.

Yeah, can't knock the Gaming X but the Aorus Extreme is simply outstanding. It has the 300w standard TDP BIOS unlike the review samples so it boosts higher (I reckon they gave out review samples with 250w TDP BIOS to get greener power consumption results) . This also means that if you push the slider to 125% you get a 375w maximum TDP!

2GHz out of the box without even enabling the OC mode and it's unreal how quiet it is under load.

My Sea Hawk X has no coil whine and has beaten some peoples Zotac Extreme and Aorus Extreme cards. Maybe I have been lucky with my card, but it is all down to the silicone lottery and not as simple as saying one brand beats another.

There was a lot higher version , that will never see the light of day :(

im waiting for the EVGA hybrid AIO. It looks nice and the temps from other reviewers seem impressive.

My other 1080ti under water is at 2033 @48 degrees. This is after 4 hours of overwatch at 3440x1440.

The blower fan can't be heard as it doesn't go as high as a Founders/Reference design because of course it only needs to cool the VRAM etc and not the GPU. Mine has a bit of coil whine but nothing I can hear unless the room is silent and only then when the FPS goes into the thousands at certain points like a loading screen in certain games. My card does 2038 at about a 50-55C temp in a warm room, and the hot air isn't being pumped into the case and then through my CPU radiator up top like most other cards which is what I want to avoid.

Can my stepdad have either game as I got the code in my email but he has a 970? Could he login to his account on my machine that will have the 1080ti in an redeem and then use it on his PC, or is he out of luck?
