If it is on the same day as AMD are having a bash too, then you can be fairly sure something big is to be announced.
Just to kick AMD right in the danglies

supposing I was building a new system in the next week or so, completely new system, and I'd like a powerful GPU for some coding related projects... and I might like to get this 1080ti when it comes out....
in terms of the hit I'd likely take buying a GPU now and then selling it in say a month or two - would you go for a 980ti, 1070 or 1080?
I'm assuming my best bet is a second hand 980ti now rather than a brand new 1070/80 and then resell in a couple of months?
I don't think you understand. I know it's there best card. I mean do something different not the same Titan card again and again every year. A new idea?
Before I get too excited do you think I need to worry about the 1080Ti going any compatiblity issues with my antique p8z68-v motherboard?
edit -
Take my money

600 wont be enough...
hmmmmmm.....maybe.....maybe not. I think it maybe in the £800 - £900 ball park unless Vega is good competition....maybe even £900 - £1000It will be when I sell my 980Ti to my mate for £200 ;-P

I really hope this is finally the 1080 Ti, need and upgrade from my 780s already!
Honestly REALLY not excited for this seeing as it's basically just a slightly cut down Titan XP so it's not really something new.
Not forgetting to mention it's going to have a short shelf life due to the rumored Pascal refresh later this year.
Sticking with my 1080 until that me thinks.
Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti Reportedly In Production, Launching In March
http://wccftech.com/nvidia-gtx-1080-ti-launching-march/
Only this time with 52 out of a total of 60 SMs will enabled with the remainder 8 SMs physically lasered off. This is only four SMs fewer than the GP102 variant used to power the TITAN X (Pascal) NVIDIA’s fastest graphics card to date.
I bought my 980Ti for £500 in June 2015, there is no way that I'll be paying more than £600 for a graphics card. It's just gone a bit silly.
I really hope Vega can come in and drop the priced.
Same for me. I have funds available but really lacking any interest in this. Mind you, if it does look like Volta is a long ways off and the price is fair for this, I might jump but seriously don't need something that is possibly 20% faster than my 1080.Honestly REALLY not excited for this seeing as it's basically just a slightly cut down Titan XP so it's not really something new.
