**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Same for me. I have funds available but really lacking any interest in this. Mind you, if it does look like Volta is a long ways off and the price is fair for this, I might jump but seriously don't need something that is possibly 20% faster than my 1080.

Thats just it last time round when the 980TI was coming out people were looking to this to assist with 4k and titles they were struggling to get minimum frame rates. It fitted the gap nicely. This time round the 1080 can handle all the games out there comfortably or even better upto 1440p with even 4k titles satisfying the minimum FPS brigade in most cases. Just not worth it.

There were 9 months between the 980 and 980ti release, and its been 9 months since the 1080 release soooo....any day surely?

it will be faster than a 1080, but not quite as fast as a titan at standard clocks, over clocked it will beat a standard titan I expect, depends if it overclocks further than titan does. if that's true.

Suspect it will overclock more than a TitanXP will with a standard cooler but overclock just the same as a Titan with a waterblock so it will be slightly slower. The key will be the price. Its basically going to be TitanXP performance for less money with nicer air coolers on board.

i'm one of those that would've got a 1080ti about now if they had come out now but seeing they are not i'm going to keep my KFA HOF 980ti as nothing out at the moment gaming wise stress it out to much along with Gsync tech or even 4k at 30fps. So have decided to miss this 1080 range completely

Surely you want more than 30FPS when using a G-Sync monitor. When my FPS drops below 45 I notice it so 30 must be clunky. For G-SYNC 60-110 is the sweet spot when game looks buttery smooth.

With all the recent 1080 and 1070 deals cropping up I can't help but think the 1080ti is around the corner. Yes it wil be out of my budget but I'm hoping it will drive 1080 prices down to £450ish. For me the 1070 is overkill at 1080p but doesn't cut the mustard at 1440p (my current gaming resolution)

I'm thinking the same as well, I think OcUK might know something we don't, I'm still placing my bets that this will be a 1080 replacement like the 980ti replaced the 980, and I think it will also be cheaper than many on here believe it will be, I really think £700 or under.

Ultimately it will depend on Vega and how fast it is but Nvidia could surprise us all by releasing the full GP102 as the 1080ti if they need too, It'd look like a good move in there eyes because the sort of person that bought a TXP did so because they wanted the fastest card regardless of price so them same people are likelly to move on to a fully chipped non reference 1080ti if it appeared which is a win for Nvidia.

rainforest has had LOADS of dodgy listings in the last few weeks, I think when new stock is added the system tries to price match but then it gets pulled pretty quick.

Until you see price drops across the board, it's nothing to be exited about except for the odd deal here and there

Looks like prices are dropping already, I've just seen a GTX 1080 for £449.98.
No direct from the retailer. :)
I saw that price has gone back up so must have been a misprice
No misprice, they had that deal on the Asus card last week, it still didn't make me push the button on purchase. If a better cooling card comes up, perhaps I will. Still need to upgrade everything else.

I just use an online tool to set a price variable, when it hit's that price I get an e-mail. Makes it far easier to find deals faster. OcUK need to up their game.

Exchange rate doesn't help and with today's financial results it will tank further. Nvidia could set a decent dollar price but it will end up being expensive here. Look at microfossils putting their surfaces up by up to £400 this week.

It's going to be bad timing for a realise next month for the uk market
