All this hype and it'll be a revised version of Geforce Experience.

Very few people looking at this thread need a new GPU. They just like the 'new'.

100% right

The need to swing their epeen by buying a graphics card that cos a fortune, is hard to resist for some. A man's gotta make it on to the roll of honour afterall...

Come on Kaap, get a grip. :D

I'm looking forward to seeing the spec for this next week, but I've hedged my bets by picking up a 1080 for £529.99 a fortnight ago because if this is priced between £800 - £900 then I'll need to pass. However, if it's priced around the £700 mark then someone's getting a great deal for a 1080 in the MM in March. :p

do you think i should sell my 1080s now to get a good price? ive got 2 1080 classys so im abit confused on what to do, i dont want to lose out to much from the £1578 i spent on both cards

1080 classy went for £450 on the MM the other day, can see them hitting £400 when people start panic selling.

Is your 1080's struggling? I remember you getting them like what, 6-7 months ago? You will be losing £500 if you want to upgrade. Personally I would sell one ASAP regardless as SLI which you probably have realised by now is not very good. Then sell the other one after if you need the extra performance and get a 1080Ti or Titan XP, or even a Vega.

no no! no resisting allowed, anything that has "1080ti" you must atleast sell your soul to obtain one.

Why?

In your position being loaded I would have got one Titan XP :)

one sold on ebay literally 2 days ago for £546, 450? the purchaser got a deal and the seller got ripped off.

You forget ebay fees, paypal fees, postage fees, packaging fees...

I see. Pretty obvious I would have thought.

In my opinion most times it is not very hard to tell a new card is coming. We know when Vega is coming for example, have done for ages. We knew the 10 series was coming. Sure there are times when people get it wrong like in your example above, but most times new cards are not far away if the old range has been oout for 12-18 months, would you not agree?

Horses for courses. I always opt for the wait option personally, as it suits and serves me well. It has done well for me for over a decade now. All the graphics a cards I have had over the years have cost me less than a price of a titan as I buy and sell at the right time. It is fun to do also :)

How much did you lose on your 1070?
