was going to buy a 780 recently (had a good deal lined up) - but of course saw this

Definitely looking forward to replacing my aging gtx 560. I'll be able to use it alongside my new 800 series as a PhysX card

I tried using a dedicated physx card (gtx 680) along side my main 780 when playing borderlands 2 and found it didn't really help much and was not worth the hassle/higher temps.

It would be better to leave it in a safe place as a backup card or sell it on.

Looks like a great replacement for the 780 tbh, those Rops ad improved Maxwell Cores will nicely outperform the 780 and at lower power consumption. It's pretty much guaranteed when fuller fat Maxwell arrives it's going to be a monster !

Interesting specs. More ROPs and higher frequency but less shader units than the Titan.

it says gm104 so you can probably disregard that completely as a placeholder of some sort.

If those specs are correct, that will be epic ( if the 750ti is anything to go by). Although i guess it depends on the price.

Gap between the cards is too big I'm afraid, it will actually cost you FPS.

Bought the EVGA GTX 980 SC from OCUK, very happy with it.

Can only imagine what the next lot of Maxwell cards will be like :eek:
