NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

...and if you 'loose' the coil-whine lottery. Fans are pretty quiet on mine now. (Undervolted / re-padded) Barely go over 1100rpm. So the coil whine is now louder than any fan in my system.
Hopefully no coil whine as I hate that, I've changed many PSUs in the past because of that. The rest of my PC is super quiet so coil whine stands out.

That makes two of us. Never thought I'd pay 1.4k for a card either. Absolute madness.
Crazy times indeed. Hopefully the 3090 will keep me going for a few years. I'll be sticking with 3440x1440 Ultrawide anyway rather than going 4k so I'm hoping I'll be able to drive that for a while with that card.

I have been through 4 different PSUs, and had 2 different FE cards... both whine far more than I am happy with.

I hate gaming with a headset.... but almost resigned myself to it. As its not like one can just buy an AIB model instead.

I hope you win and your card is whine free! :)

Haha well I'm in that queue for a 3090 AIB which I'll stick a Hybrid AIO on if and when that arrives and then I'll sell the FE.

Sounds like a few went for a higher end card when potentially not the original plan. Which begs the question, what kind of cloak and dagger activities do you have planned to a) conceal the financial outlay and b) take delivery without your partner becoming aware.

Lolololol, I'm extremely lucky in the fact that my Wife is not at all bothered what I do with my spare cash. In fact she'd prefer it if I spent all day upstairs gaming so she can watch all the ******** she watches on TV downstairs on the big TV.

For reference my 1080ti plays most games at 100fps pinned with Gysnc (my refresh rate) all Ulta at 3440x1440 21:9 Ultrawide 1440p, that is, all games up to about 2019/2020, it is now struggling with any big new games. Compare the 1080ti to the 3060 and you will get a bit of an idea.
Ah, perfect, sorry, just catching up with threads..so can i take it rule of thumb with more modern gpu 1080ti next year 2070 year after 3060. so a 2080 last year more like a 3070 this year and then 4060 next year? and a 3060 this year..4050?

Never mind just the people who bought the 3090, I'm in that boat and I bough the 3080Ti. I am a bit 'what have I done?'...

I've ruled out any buyers remorse by the fact that they simply are not available anywhere. I mean, you'll always make your money back if you decide to sell it on, even in a few months time you'll priby be able to sell it for MSRP at least.

Probably one of those times when it is better to seek forgiveness than to get permission.

Good point. That's more than I can say for most of my purchases, or my wife's for that matter!
Exactly, I'd no way endorse it but it could be sold tomorrow for a profit so I imagine the used prices won't get down to MSRP for a few months so you have some breathing space and can actually use it in the meantime.
