NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

My blood is boiling, had it in my cart and my bank declines and blocks card. Now they want me to go in branch with ID to unblock so they can probably block again if I ever have this rare opportunity again.

...and if you 'loose' the coil-whine lottery. Fans are pretty quiet on mine now. (Undervolted / re-padded) Barely go over 1100rpm. So the coil whine is now louder than any fan in my system.

I've been very lucky in that my 3090FE seems to have no coil while. I do have an expensive Seasonic PSU though.

Also managed to snag a 3080 Ti FE and instantly got buyer's remorse due to only wanting to spend £600 and ended up spending nearly double that....

I really wanted the 3080ti but when I saw it had already gone I just found myself clicking on the 3090 link and paying for it lol I was just fed of playing this stupid game that I was just happy to get something!! And to be fair I don't s em to care that I spent an extra £400, I'm just happy I don't have to waste any more time on the issue because it was starting to get very boring.

Cheers, good to know. Seeing as I have to buy a complete pc I'll target 3070...don't think finances stretch further. It should do me a couple years of gaming before having to reduce some of the settings

This is probably our best deal at the moment (on the Nvidia side) since the graphics card hasn't undergone the inevitable second batch price hike. We've found this with every launch this year. Whilst we can't hit Nvidia's MSRP with the first batch, there's generally a 10% or more increase over the next couple of deliveries. The earlier cards have increased by over 40% in many instances :(

I'm lucky in that I've got a very understanding wife who let me buy the 3090FE without much hassle. You can tell she's very understanding as she also let me buy an Arcade1Up Star Wars machine which has to stand in the corner of our lounge as there's no room elsewhere for it. :D

Also our new kitchen/dining room conversion was designed around my MAME arcade machine, as that was in the corner of the dining room. I required the kitchen company design the kitchen around it! Had a few designs I dismissed because they wouldn't design around the machine :D. I take my gaming seriously.

This train of throught is one of the reasons why GPU prices are so high facepalm.jpeg

Is what is though, I have a lot of money already invested in my PC so I needed the GPU to keep my gaming performance at a current level. It's not like I've gone out and paid a scalper 2.5k for a 3090 (the going rate at the moment), I paid MSRP which pretty much everyone is willing to do at the minute. My statement above was relating to the fact that I would have been happy getting a 3080ti or 3090 (at MSRP) and that I'm lucky enough to have been able to do so.

And GPU prices hay yo-yoed back up.

I was tracking the cheapest prices, and there are no longer any sub £100 RX 550 or GT 1030's I can find, the cheapest now seem to be around £150.

£275 again for a 1050 Ti, over £300 for a 1650 lolwut. I'm trying to get either but not at these prices.

I know, I now have a 4 year old 1080ti Hybrid for sale and looking at eBay they are selling for £500+. I bought my Brother the exact same GPU 1 year ago for £300 (used, on eBay).

Helloo, managed to get through the checkout process for a 3080ti early this morning but my status has been sitting at payment authorised. Waiting for the stock to be picked.

Anyone had their order picked yet?
