Are these new 3090 cards , restricted LHR cards? Do they have better cooling ?
As far as I'm aware the 3090 doesn't have a LHR restriction.
What card you got?Yep, 3090=miners friend, now quickly by more 3090, miners, so my cards value can keep going up
They would have to say that it is just the box etc. TBH I wouldn't buy even a new 30xx from there - even at MSRP. You have no idea if it has been run 24x7 mining then put into original box.So you can't list pictures only on Ebay anymore, but people can advertise the full description of an item and sell an empty box or just the fan still lol.
No ****, but unfortunately we pay up or miss out.Well, this climate is not good.

I bought a 3080Ti but I don't consider it in any way a good deal. I really hope that this doesn't mean £1k for a graphics card is the new normal.and people think that's a good "deal" sheesh!!
That's the only good thing at the minute, older cards still fetch good money so it offsets the higher cost of the new ones.I managed to get a 3080ti FE yesterday too but have slight buyers remorse. Think I will keep it only because it seems I can get about £450 for my 1.5 year old 5700xt which will somewhat lesson the pain.
I agree but you either pay up or do without, you are free to choose either.
I would not buy from a scalper period and would do without.

The recommendation stated on the installation manual for the 3080 is 750w, and I've currently got a Corsair rm650, so have bought the rm750 on Overclockers to replace it. Everything I saw online was that people were generally in agreement that 750w was fine, but some decided to err on the side of caution and get Battersea power station installed in to their PCs to make sure it's enough. They haven't got around to picking mine yet. Now my next concern. Anyone know the minimum power for a 3080Ti? I have a 650W Seasonic PSU. Hopefully enough? Don't really want to spend even more on another PSU...
Weirdly, I'm now in a position where I might select a game based on its need for a hefty graphics card! Only really play Elite Dangerous on PC, and I haven't touched that for months. Oh, and Total War games I suppose, they could use the extra grunt.Me too, having looked at the new Battlefield gameplay I may need to upgrade if I am to play at 1440p with everything on high/ultra. But can't see these GPU prices going down this year
Thanks ScottiB, i really wanted to go down the self build route but going to take a good look at that as reasonably priced for a prebuild and loosing hope of getting anything...literally just put up a post about going for a ryzen 5 5600x instead of more powerful cpu so i can upgrade to AM5 in a couple of years or sohttps://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...x-geforce-rtx-3070ti-gaming-pc-fs-122-og.html
This is probably our best deal at the moment (on the Nvidia side) since the graphics card hasn't undergone the inevitable second batch price hike. We've found this with every launch this year. Whilst we can't hit Nvidia's MSRP with the first batch, there's generally a 10% or more increase over the next couple of deliveries. The earlier cards have increased by over 40% in many instances
. That brings me back flying down the canyon of the death star...I'm lucky in that I've got a very understanding wife who let me buy the 3090FE without much hassle. You can tell she's very understanding as she also let me buy an Arcade1Up Star Wars machine which has to stand in the corner of our lounge as there's no room elsewhere for it.
There's really no point in going for more grunt that 5600X for gaming...whether it's an i5 11400F, 5600X or 5900X, the actual gaming performance is almost identical. These days there's almost no games that are properly CPU limited. Thanks ScottiB, i really wanted to go down the self build route but going to take a good look at that as reasonably priced for a prebuild and loosing hope of getting anything...literally just put up a post about going for a ryzen 5 5600x instead of more powerful cpu so i can upgrade to AM5 in a couple of years or so
