NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

I'd always expected the 3080Ti to be well outside my price range, but it looks like a decent 3070Ti will be a wallet eater as well.

Oof

Prices starting to show on some retailers sites. So basically more expensive from day one than the 3090 versions of the cards on release day... Give it a week and they will all be over £2k.

I love the way they just tout

'That's thanks to the raw power Nvidia is promising with these cards, with the RTX 3080 Ti basically looking like an RTX 3090, but omitting a significant chunk of onboard memory, and at a cheaper price point. So that's 12GB of GDDR6X memory starting at $1,199 (£1,049) for the Founders Edition.'

Oh yeah the FE version that will be sold out in minus 60 seconds, absolute joke.....I feel for those that couldn't get a 3080 because there were none, now the slightest possibility of getting a 3080ti FE is being dangled and those that have missed out big time, are not going to get a look in with this release either!!
Oh sorry forgot, they could try and get a third party card at what 2....2 and half times more than an FE card!!??

Before anyone starts having a go at me for complaining and winging regarding getting a card, I'm not after one, I've got my 6900XT so I'm happy, it's those that haven't got a card but would like one.....

Nvidia could do so much more to facilitate the the way FE's are being sold to customers like one per address.....however, they would say 'a sale is a sale'.
Oh yeah, got to keep those share holders happy??

What are you talking about?
The FE retailer DOES limit cards to 1 per address / IP / billing / Card number.

They also have some of the best anti-bot measures, and manually review each order for multiples.
Its why the FE cards are the best chance anybody has of getting a card at MSRP.

Once the drop happens, they all go in baskets. But the Out of Stock message usually takes a good 15-20 minutes to appear. During that time, if you keep refreshing the page the "Add to cart" button often re-appears. as peoples orders get cancelled for multiple purchases.

Therefore I think the 80Ti FE will also be the best chance anybody has of getting an 80Ti for RRP.

£1049 is bonkers pricing for a ti, it's def not £400 better than my 3080 FE. Hopefully, the market will get fed up of this silly pricing sooner rather than later.

The only limit seems to be 1 per address.

As for the 3080Ti, all I can think is that my 3090 looks pretty good right now.

Yea 1 per address. But that includes billing address. Which makes it very hard to get multiple cards, without having multiple cards registered at different addresses too.

And yea.... mine too! :cool::cry:

15-20 seconds

no. It really is close to 10-15 minutes before the actual out of stock message appears.

As usual far too many people want to whine and moan they cant get a card, rather than actually put a modicum of effort in to get one.

Getting an FE card is not hard. Yes it does still take some luck and timing, but faaaaar less than getting one anywhere else.
Especially when its the 1 place to get a card guaranteed at RRP.

NVidia and AIBs can put whatever price they want on these cards and people will still buy them. They’ll fly off the shelves and validate the ‘finger in the air’ pick a price any price nonsense that nvidia and AIBs choose.
