NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

No one likes a 'I told you so' guy but... I fricking told you so.

The large price gap and the small performance gap between the 3080 and the 3090 pretty much guaranteed the 3080ti was going to be bad. How could it not be with such a small gap to squeeze into and the already comedy pricing of the 3090??

So many people here were telling 3080 buyers to wait for the 3080ti

A really terrible product at that price point. The 3080 looks good value compared to what the Ti is offering.

The 3090 FE is faster when OC'd and has from what I have seen the best bins with 2200mhz Core on many (the first review above had the 3080Ti OC'd vs 3090 FE stock and it was tiny difference).

I had 12GB then 11.5GB then back to 12GB years ago, 3080 should ideally have been launched with 16GB but I know it is tied to the Rops/Bus Width, more so as some claim it is a 4k GPU.

IMO you will find a 3090 FE easier to buy than any 3080 and any new 3080Ti, and the extra cost gets you more VRAM if you want 4k.

They may have best bins but 2200 Mhz is not common! I have had 4 of the things and only current one does above 2200mhz, rest did not where near 2.2Ghz consistently nor do many aftermarket models hit that sort of speed. Its the better chips not the norm.

All that said, agree with rest that trying to get a 3090FE may be easier then a 3080Ti. I would grab it at that point for slight price increase for the better cooler and slight upgrade at that point anyways. AIB is going to be nuts on pricing anyways so does not matter. All going to sell out within seconds anyways.

Personally I think the 3080Ti is pretty pointless and not worth buying. $1200 lol nvidia taking the mick now.

Gimped ETH mining performance: NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has a tweaked GPU with gimped ETH mining through its new Lite Hash Rate (LHR) cryptocurrency mining nerfing at a hardware level. The GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 destroy the RTX 3080 Ti in crypto mining (85-115MH/s compared to 55-65MH/s).

Is this a copy/paste (and poor journalism), or was this tested as part of this 3080Ti FE review?

DF mentioned one of their cards ran loudly, my fears of this gimped cooler on a 350w card have not been allayed.

Even if you get one of these, might end up being a return.
