NVIDIA GTX 970 OWNERS THREAD

Yesterday I received Galax gtx 970. Inside the box are foot prints. Card was used.
Really guys? Is that your improvement?

i think i would be more concerned to the actual physical condition of the box ie damage on corners insufficent packaging etc sadly not a foot print seems a bit ott.

I'd be more concerned that the card was used to be honest. Although, I wouldn't be happy with the foot prints inside the box either.

Proud owner of the quality ASUS Strix model. Simply couldn't say no to the passive fan feature, and the reports of coil whine from the MSI version instantly put me off that.
My GTX770 had pretty bad coil whine, and that was MSI branded.

You can get coil whine on any model, the only reason you saw more reports on the MSI model is because it was the most sold model.

My MSI is fine.

Yes I really like the passive cooling feature. I've jumped from 970 to 970. I am now set on the ASUS.

Not seen any reports of coil whine on the ASUS model, infact, if you look at the coil whine poll in another thread, its not even included in the list.

Can anyone confirm if they can use more than 3.5GB of Vram on their 970 on something like Mordor for me please. For some reason my card always seems to max at 3.5GB whereas my 980 would access all 4gb ?

I'm sure it's just a monitoring issue but just seems a bit weird to me.
