NVIDIA GTX 970 OWNERS THREAD

Picked up a Gigabyte G1 970 last week and I love it already, that windforce light looks ace.

Are most people on here setting up fan profiles when overclocking or are they just cranking the fan percentage up a lot? First time overclocking a card here.
 
unstable overclock

I have purchased the Gyga G1. trying to get my max stable overclock. currently seeing good framerates in games without crashing. however still seeing artifacts not hugely obtrusive but definitely there, and don't want to brick my card! any suggestions on whether it's the core or memory overclock causing this? it will only go to 1.2310v probably due to the BIOS locks.

Memory: 7776mhz
Core: 1575mhz

Temp ~ 65

You're at the limit with the core at 1575Mhz, more voltage might fix it but it might not.

My cards have a limit of around 1506Mhz and no matter how much voltage and power I give them they won't run higher.

Just back it down until it's stable.

As I understand it this only appears when the GPU is under load and being overstretched so you wont see it unless you stress the GPU at lot. If you dont see it thats a good thing it means your GPU is coping handsomely with what you are throwing at it.
 
Just bought two 970s with full sized pcb and 980 cooler :) Unfortunately from a competitor as they don't sell them here. Should arrive by weekend.
 
A couple of reviews have stated the Gainward Phantom is slightly quieter, I'm looking at one of these but trying to see some more feedback first.
