Running pretty bad for me. Stuttering all the time and low fps (<50) in some areas on the map.

Zotac GeForce 970 owner here, checking in. I upgraded from a Zotac 780 OC so I suppose in a way it's more of a *sidegrade*, but my god...it's quieteer and will be moderately less power hungry. It also makes me cringe less, as I used to hate that the end of the 780 would a
sag in my case.

Going from a 780 vanilla, to 2 x G1 gaming 970's, which incidentally come tomorrow.

Will I need to change/reinstall drivers, or will my current driver cover the 970's ?

Yep im getting 130-160fps in bf4 all ultra @1080p with below spec 35fps.... Summit not right mate

realistically you should be getting 80 fps on those maps.

To be honest i have no idea, i dont play bf4 i just tried the 7 day free trial on their website last week. I just clicked play online. There was tanks etc i think it was conquest however no idea how many players there was. But was really impressed with the frame rate

4770k.

Seems I was wrong, I'm currently running with a 290 and it still has stuttering problems.

Mantle is running pretty well though.

I would reinstall and did when I went from a 670 to a 970.

Just curious, are there any aftermarket heatsinks that would fit and would be a bit better at cooling and allow lower fan speeds etc?

The custom coolers are pretty good. Maxwell doesn't get that hot

Not custom bios, but with a different fan profile it stays cool enough - I'm just curious what's out there.

Water cooling 970's is pointless as you gain no overclock head room.
