NVIDIA GTX 970 OWNERS THREAD

Take a look at these temps for example, 75C seems pretty standard for a hardload game such as Crysis 3

Asus Strix got 69c load in that chart. I've just tried AC:Unity and the temps reach 74-75 during cutscenes and 71-73 during gameplay, at which temps the fans go up to 50-54% (fortunately the card is still rather quiet and unobtrusive at this RPM). Those temps were with a side fan on;p My card's overclocked to 1512mhz though. Still, I think the temps should be lower than that...

I can't test things further because the game was made by Ubisoft and I guess you know what's happened.

Dg, I have a Thermalright Armor A90.

That's really cool. Too bad I haven't got BF4 to check what temps my card would reach. I guess it would be about 68-70c since it goes up to 73-74c in C3. It really does run hotter than I expected.

Got my core up to 1500, memory running at 7800. Temps have never exceeded 64c running Shadow of Mordor. Man, shadow of mordor looks amazing using DSR at 4K.. SO glad I went Nvidia this time :)

Im a little confised,

I ran firestrike on my MSI 970 stock and returned a score of 9287

I clocked it with nvidia inspector to +171 on core and +440 on ram and 110% on power.

I scored 9280.

What am I missing?!

o dear. Playing BL2 pre sequel, it crashed on my over clock. I've gone back to defaults, but its sitting at 540mhz clock. wont boost.

Can anyone explain why you would choose the £80 dearer, full-sized waterblocked 970 over the ITX waterblocked version?

Hmm......i cant seem to break the +130Mhz Core +300Mhz Mem barrier on my G1.

Well, not game stable anyway.

Valley seems ok with +150 +375 but even more volts don't make it stable in BF4.

my screen is a superwide asus 2560 x 1080

the DSR is the 4k - I just set it in game. its great. works better on some things.
I found it was very nice on deus ex - makes the older games look better.

yeah agree I've been playing Call of Juarez on 2560 x 1440 @ 144mhz on my 1080p monitor.

Don't forget the G1 has +128 core out of the box, so your actually getting +278 which is pretty good.

rememeber the boost !!!! :p the g1 with boost is 1392 out of the box.

download gpuz and check for highest gpu clock. and check the highest temp.

Mine's a good little clocker 1500 and 7900 but it appears to be power limited.

Not sure what benefit my overclock gives me in real terms as my valley score is a smidgen under 2700 and I know there is a lot higher scores than that out there.
