NVIDIA GTX 970 OWNERS THREAD

The Vram issue is weird on the 970. I had it on all my cards but as mentioned it was fine on my 980. I'm now using a 980m in my laptop and this is also fine.

Its a weird issue and I have no idea why it happens unless it is just an error on the software reading the cards usage ? But then why is it ok with the 980 ?

have you tried changing limited rgb to full rgb in the nvidia control panel, made quite a difference for me. i also recalibrated my monitor

it is on full. i have tried my old monitor and brought new one and used the colour profiles for them calibrated .AMD quality is better in colour and image quality.i spend many hrs in ps and making videos it is quite clear to see.

would love them to be the same as the performance and everything else is quite frankly a lot better than AMD but as with anything there is always a trade off.

would love just a simple what is best for quality. i dont mind asking. so if anyone has a fool proof guide to get it as good as possible pls share.

I may be mistaken, but those particular settings affect video only.

Unless you have the latest drivers, you will not have the setting discussed, as it appears under the "Desktop Colour Settings" section, or whatever it is called - not in front of PC right now.

If you do not have the latest drivers, you will need to find the utility that was created for fixing this - there is a thread on this somewhere.

Think that's only for HDMI users, either way I think my 2 970s are about to hit the members market and I may go down the Crossfire route although I'm not gonna like the heat issues again.

As eyetrip says thats the wrong screen that settings is only for playing video files.

You need to look on the desktop colour settings screen.

There hasn't been a new driver for a month or so. I expect some of these issues to be picked up and actioned on the next driver release?

If I get time next week, I'll look into implementation of fixes and workarounds for some of these issues and maybe we can get a new thread for reference?

It's not the first time new tech has had "issues". Quite the opposite in fact! It's the price we pay for operating at enthusiast level and adopting early! Don't get me wrong, I'm gutted that I can't use DSR with SLI and G-Sync but I'm hopeful that nvidia will sort it with the next driver release. If I couldn't handle the issues, I'd just buy a PS4...

But of course, that's completely out of the question. :D
