hello
I have some questions about my 980
I have a highest benchmark OC of (recorded in GPU-Z) of 1439-1540
My monitor on both AB and GPU-Z give me a reported boost under load of 1565
My volts are a consistent 1.2060 at this clock
However this is at stock volts and power
My bios is pretty much the same as the EVGA GM204 bios that come with Maxwell tweak, apart from 3 entries on the voltage table that have no assigned CLK to the the boost table
What is stopping my GPU going higher than the current base clock?
Anything over 1540 on the CC and it crashes, Any power or volts other than stock and it crashes, any memory increase over 1940 and it crashes.
Have I reached the absolute ceiling of my 980 (it is still very impressive mind you (heaven 1997)
But does seem strange that it absolutely hates power and voltage increases at the high end of my over clocks. Clock s I can accept, however it is stable in Heaven and my Fire strike OC as long as I don’t touch it.
Also should this be bumped to the OC forum?
Cheers
