Tbf, the reason why I 'don't' care is because it's not like I bought from a scalper. People should be commending me really for buying/waiting at RRP rather than the other way round. + It was a 3090. The backlog is mainly for the 3080's. The 3090's are popping up all the time on different shops, just have to snag them. Hell, it isn't even that good of a deal at RRP. The 3080 is way worth the money at RRP and wanted one myself but couldn't be bothered waiting until April+ for one. I was holding out for a 3080 Ti at the recent Nvidia press conference but of course they didn't announce them.

GN confirmed separately to the conference that the 3080Ti is delayed until they can sort out the supply issues they've been having with the existing lineup.

Not sure how that works with the massive mobile lineup they announced but oh well...

If there are next day deliveries in the area close to Saturday deliveries, DPD will often deliver those as well, to help prevent any Monday backlog with parcels dispatched and in Depot Saturday. its like a free upgrade to those. Many DPD Drivers are Owner Driver Franchisee's so will top up their route with Next day parcels as they earn more that way.

I guessed it was something along those lines, Thanx for taking the time to give this info ;)

The good news is it will be in my build today, after such a long wait its finally over.

Am Hoping no more having to drop some of my games to 1440P,

and going from an 11GB 2080Ti to a 24GB 3090, it's going to be interesting to see what FPS I will be getting at 4K Ultra. :D
 
Does anyone know what the average delivery time is? I placed an order for 3070 on the 27th, order confirmation received but still no update on it being shipped.
Cards showing in stock at time of order, and paid for next day delivery.
Attempted to contact CS for advise was told shipping was upgraded to weekend delivery, but still nothing.
Aware that there's a back log, however if the item was in stock at time of order surely it would have been dispatched by now....or am I just being impatient??

If it was 27th and you didn't get it this weekend then it's probably waiting for next weekend. Have you got a DPD tracking # yet? If not then it might not have been dispatched, put another message on the CS forum and ask where it is.
 
Would a 3080 be better than a 6800XT ? I wanted to grab a 3080 but seems hard to find, or get for around RRP. Just bought a nitro+ 6800xt from OC :) Wanted to spend around £600-£700 but thought hell with it and go all out! Was going to go Nvidia but tired of waiting now

They're pretty similar in raw horse power from what the reviews say, but if you're interested in features like DLSS or RT then the 3080 is the way to go.
 
12th in line still for the Zotac. Had the chance for a 3090 trinity OC from somewhere I cant say. I left it overnight and missed out (they had 12 stock) was £1699 too......dammit!

If you're going that route then def try for the FE over everything else, they tend to stay in stock for 2/3 hours at a time, sometimes longer.
 
How are you guys getting on the pre-order list? >< Really need a 3070 for this build project I'm working on so I can get the CAD done and chassis manufactured etc. Tried ringing and email, no answer after over an hour

Some other retailers are doing limited pre-order opens at the moment too. I managed to get on a list a couple of weeks back and I'm 29th in the queue for a 3080.
