** NVIDIA RTX 30 SERIES NOW ONLINE AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (3090 / 3080 / 3070) **

The price inflation on the 3090 will be nuts. I expect the new baseline to be at least £1500.

I have some money for this upgrade. My initial angle was to get 3080 and upgrade to 20gb model when its out. But to be honest, I would be happy with 3090 to save a headache. I think its silly money for this card but if it sees me through few years like my 1080ti, I'll be happy with this purchase. But If prices are inflated madly over 1600+, I have 1080ti in my case and money in my pocket. I can live without an upgrade for a while until more 3080/ti are avaliable in this case.

So looks like loads of people are gonna try and get the 3090 which is probably at 1/10th of the stock of the 3080. Bahaha. What a **** show.

Gibbo just said in the other thread, people who ordered before 14:05 might get a card in September. MIGHT. The ******* website was so ******* I couldn't even do anything until 14:30.

I couldn't even load the homepage until last night, ended up ordering this morning... Probably shouldn't have...

January. 2022.

anyone else had an email from OCUK saying they will be waiting for a while? why advertise it being delivered it tomorrow if you can't do it?

I get that it is in demand. but surely just stock and sell? I placed an order when it was "In Stock" which it obviously wasn't!

I'm not impatient but it makes no sense to promise so much and under deliver?

Just say you haven't got the cards?

haha yeah I didn't get an order in until 15:09, but at that stage I was 100% expecting an out of stock bounceback, I figured they all went immediately. I don't really mind waiting as long as they try and communicate what the waits will look like, rather than blindly waiting.

What I will say is that it's a bit of a bummer that the Twitter messaging really made it sound like if you had an order number, there was a card there for you, when really it just meant your order had gone through, which isn't really the same. I guess Twitter is limiting, but I think that could have been clarified better.

That said, I don't really envy the staff at OC, cant be a fun week for them

I don't either but invest in a Que system and have a plan. it just seem like a **** show.

I'm not desperate for the card but I don't get the price hiking and the pretending they have stock - Just tell us you didn't have any!

I'm sure I read a post somewhere from OCUK saying they expect good levels of stock. Bahaha, sounds like they had at most a few hundred cards but have ended up selling tens of thousands.

Indeed. Its the metality that you had it in your head you want something and then when you cant have it, you are prepared to pay over the odds.

Same thing happens at auctions. I once saw a washing machine and a TV sold with a same day warranty only for more money than you could have gone down the road and bought new ones with full warranty from Argos all because two people had decided they must have it and kept bidding.
Fear of missing out.

****** off now:

Dear Peter,

Many thanks for your RTX 3080 pre order.

Demand was huge during the launch yesterday, far beyond the expectations of NVIDIA, the graphics card manufacturers and Overclockers UK. Web traffic was off the scale when compared to Black Friday and we apologise for any impact on your shopping experience.

We have contacted NVIDIA and the graphics card manufacturers regarding the volume of cards sold on pre order. We will work closely with them to secure as much stock as possible and will keep you posted on the supply situation as soon as we can. You can check the latest updates from our Product Manager on the forums;

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/foru...deliveries-how-to-cancel-your-order.18899277/

NVIDIA has undoubtedly launched a fantastic and highly desirable product. We all wanted one too! Luckily, Overclockers UK is one of the biggest and oldest NVIDIA partners and we will be one of the first companies to get stock.

Your order is in a queue and we will fulfil orders on a strict first come, first served basis. We therefore suggest you keep your place in the queue to avoid future disappointment.

Our telephone and webnote systems are extremely busy and you may experience a long wait. If you wish to cancel your order, please use the following link and we will prioritise the refund of your order; https://forms.gle/KewUKDD7fQMu1div5

Thank you for your patience.

Bloody joke and no indication when!"!!!!

Got a system pre build just awaiting this card

in this day and age of cloud expandable servers and que systems.

Just have a plan? do a poll? find out your stock numbers?

its just the incompetence that gets me....

I've spend tens of thousands with OCUK but when they don't invest in the right level of systems for a company of there size its dissapointing.

Even SCAN had a que! (and i've never liked them)

Just used to form to cancel my MSI Gaming. My order went though at 2:37 yesterday, so I guess it would be a while. With Gigabyte potentially listing 20GB versions, I'll just wait for Zen 3 before I start a new PC build. I can cope with my 1080 until I decide on a GPU. I had wanted something ready for Cyberpunk, but I may as well see what AMD come up with too.

Also why when posting that message did they not give the buyer an indication har far up or down the list they are. ie if they said I am number 1100 then I could make an informed decission

Why go to all the effort of ordering only to cancel a day later? Sort your lives out.

(Special dispensation to people who actually have sudden reasons to cancel, like they just got made redundant/death in the family. Changing your mind doesn't count)

Because its possible they havent actually ordered anything that will turn up anytime soon.

£700+ given to a company in the hope you might get something in 2 months time doesnt sit great.

My one hope is that they're able to be transparent in terms of timelines - when 30 mins between your confirmation seems to be the difference between having one arrive today and not getting one for weeks, it'd be great to have a firmer idea of when an order might be fulfilled. When new stock comes in are we talking a dozen cards, dozens, hundreds, etc? I don't mind waiting at all, but it'd feel a lot better knowing that they're supposed to get 50 cards a week and Im 400th in line or something, rather than just wondering if it's gonna be weeks or months
