Obsidian New RPG Avowed

Honestly I always thought this looked rubbish from the minute it was first shown off.

I only say that because I never had any intention of buying it - I can just sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

Actually the original vision looked pretty good to me, and I wish they'd gone in that direction.

But I'll at least give it a try and form an opinion of the experience for myself :)

I think it's too early to tell if it has or hasn't gone in the direction of the vibe the trailer gives it. That could be one area where it's grimmer vs the start of the game in the preview which will be introducing the game to the player. Though, PoE had people hanging from a tree pretty much at the start so....
Or it could just be fantasy Outer wilds.

Hope you're right, but the change felt significant to me, seems the original trailer was just an initial concept, so they'd have been better off showing nothing at that point imo.

I actually forgot about this trailer lol. My mind just goes to the other one they showed at the Xbox showcase where everything looks a bit ropy, and a lot less dark than that one.
 
You sure they haven't just locked it to people who have purchased it? I know that's possible on Steam but I assumed people would still be able to view the forums.

Otherwise it's a bit odd, possibly concern over negativity? I've not bothered to look but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the same vein as one or two other major releases of the past 12 months.
 
Apparently it's gone from. Steam library as well, people who pre ordered can't see the game in the library

Oh dear, we might see an announcement soon regarding it being delayed or even cancelled if it's actually being refunded to people.

I'm assuming refunded if it's being removed from peoples libraries, anyway.
