OcUK Dieters Progress Thread

I forgot again so just did it. The same and Im well chuffed. I've had some kind of evil illness, possibly Bird Flu or maybe Ebola, so I havent been to the gym (or done anything much at all) since last Monday. It's been a week of comfort food but although I feel really stodgy the weight is the same.

Back to the gym today although energy is seriously lacking.
 
I am at 14'7 Stone, Lowest I have been at for a good while, I have not really done much exercise but I have been watching what I eat.

I watched Pumping Iron last night and im going to the gym now to do the same. :p I wanna be like Franco Columbu
 
Just got back form the gym, worked my arms and chest hard and did a lot of cardio just to get my fitness going.

I spent 15 mins in the Sauna and 10 in the Steam Room, I feel great now.

I started going the gym and kickboxing at the start of the year but go out of the habit until I decided to make another effort the Monday after my Birthday on the 13th.

I have been 8 times since then but have just weighed myself for the first time since then and I have put on 6lbs :(

When I first started my job I lost quite a bit of weight as I was on my feet all day for about 10 1/2 hours.

I walk about 1h 40 minutes a day when I go to the gym, 1 hour when I don't.
 
Late weigh in! I've lost 1lb since last week, which brings me down to just 1lb over what I was before I went on holiday. Wasn't very good last week though. I had an Indian on Saturday night, a big dinner on Sunday which I cooked for Mum, and 2 little Smarties cakes on Friday because it was someone's birthday. This week, I've limited myself to 1 chocolate item.. a slice of my brother's birthday cake. It's a chocolate hedgehog (he's 29), and I chose it so it really would be rude not to have a slice. He's not cut it yet though.

Had another bloody cold last week, so I missed out on another week of gymming :mad:, and then had a friend over on Saturday, and Mothers Day on Sunday so I couldn't gym then. I know, I'm useless. Definitely back at it this week though. I've packed my bag, and will go after work. Piggy's also persuaded me to give circuits a try, so I'll have a look at the timetable when I go in tonight. It looks fun, but I lothed circuits at school, so have been put off.

The work competition has now finished, THANK GOD! I can go this alone now, without quite so much pressure etc. Hopefully that's a good thing.

Well done to everyone so far, you're 1/4 way through the year and still going strong. KEEP GOING! :D

To those who've temporarily lost motivation... KEEP GOING *slap slap slap* You've come this far, don't waste it now :)

i havnt posted in this thread before but I thought you might like to know ive lost a stone!
all since i started reading paul mckenna - i can make you thin - great book imo
i feel so much fitter because i take so much more excercise! - which is down to the book!
down to 14 1/2 stone now! (6"3 ish) need to lose another stone or maybe more tbh. My jips are damn wide and im no a women! - it sucks!

I have gym this lunchtime, though my weight seems to have stabilised at the moment so think I am going to have to make it up to 3 sessions a week - I have an awards thing on thursday so hope I can squeeze into my dress!

My progress so far....

Vital Stats -
Age - 21
Height - 6ft 2ins
Weight (Summer 2005 - 15st 10lbs)

Weight Now:

14st 4lbs

Just shows how much shoddy food I was eating. I've lost all this weight without going to the gym. The only exercise I do is football and swimming. I guess I could have lost the weight a lot quicker if I did go to the gym, but I'm happy and I've had a few comments saying I've lost weight from some friends and mates' girlfriends.

Hopefully I can continute the weight loss and now my target weight will be 13st 7lbs before I go away on holiday (hopefully) this summer.

Anyone know what the average weight for my height is?
 
Well I found the spinning a bit boring :/

The music was going but it was all very " samey " .. I get bored doing the same exercise for longer than about 5-10 mins so it's not for me :(

Will have to wait for the new studio timetable to be released so I can pick another class to try instead :)

Boy do I have a sore butt :o
 
Shame you didn't enjoy it matey! I don't think I would either to be honest. I'd much rather ride my bike around in the real world than do it in a exercise studio. I keep borrowing Mum's to do that :)

Circuits is on a Tuesday at 18:30, so my first circuits session will be next Tues... EEK! :D
 
I did stay to the end but I was rather bored :o

Well done you for going to circuits :D

On the new timetable I think there is an Xpres ( 30 min ) Circuit class so I might pop that in :)

Ab Attack and 1 hour Circuit for me tomorrow ... if I can walk :p
