Bulk like your life depends on it for a year. Then re-assess.
You think bulking will make that much of a difference? Also, I'm carrying a fair bit of fat on me at the moment and don't want to turn into a right old podge.
Here's a better view showing what my body type is (forgive the crazy clothing, it's what I use to jog in).
I ain't ever going to be a Supaturk
p), because I have such a thin frame. Now even though my girlfriend says I'm fine, I know that she'd like a bit more, and I want to be able to have and give more than a flabby frame. Since I can't build it particularly (I read that your width and what not is dictated by your clavicle etc), I want to try and make it more defined.
Obviously to do that I need muscle, but I don't particularly fancy having to add a shed load of weight, I'm finding it hard enough to remove this weight as it is!
Apparently Brad Pitt was 155lbs with 6% bodyfat at 5'11" in that picture. I'm 167lbs and a few inches taller. I reckon my bodyfat at around 18-20% which makes me around 137lbs in lean body mass? Since I'm a few inches taller, I'll have to put on a few more pounds of lean weight to ensure that I don't look "too" skinny. Say another 5lbs? So I need 23lbs of lean body mass?
According to my pitiful internet research you can put on 10-20lbs of LBM on in a year? So if we're negative about this, and assume the worst, I'm still looking at only a few years as long as I get a good routine going?
So If I lose the excess fat now, get down to maybe 10%-14% body fat, then build myself up with a clean bulk and minimise the fat gain?
Or was this just a whole post of fail? (more than likely!
)
