OcUK, I'm confused and worried

With overclocked bundles included it was 1300 + last month.

Seriously how many people does that take. 1300 and it's not like you can prebuild them as you build to order!

Even steadily through the month thats over 40 per day!

Is that why you needed bigger facilities to house all those child slaves ;)

1300 a month is seriously impressive. I bet tiny never used to sell that many ;)

Just to add my view, over the past 10 years i've spent in excess of 20k with OCUK (all in the shop i rarely order over the net), only ever had one issue with a HDD RMA back in the early days but apart from that its been great service, i will continue to use them into the future.

How many other companies could you post on the forums and get the owner as a first response to reassure you........

Think that in itself should remove any doubts you have.

within 14 mins too.

Unless!

Spie's account is accessible by several dons/shop guys to give the illusion that he cares when in reality he's having a party on a boat :(

I've ordered a load of stuff from OCUK over the years and my general experience with customer service is that they're a bit lacklustre but get the job done in the end. Certainly had no major issues.

Everywhere will get complaints. That is normal.

Thing with OcUK is that you know for sure you are buying from a dedicated PC company with years of knowlegde and great staff. I wouldn't be worried about buying from them.

The only thing i would be worried about, and this is very serious, is their Tea-Making ability!! lol

As long as it is not me making the tea, very good. If you ever hear Yemen make a cuppa I would suggest running in the opposite direction. :o

We have a rather small team of ENTHUSIASTS, this is the key to everything we do.

Having builders who live and breathe their computers at home, buying the latest hardware and playing the latest games gives us an edge over the competition. Build a PC with pride, take some pictures and show it off. Nick's handywork is shown in the review at Oc3D and shortly in another publication.

We do not work Sunday's and Saturday is a low staff day with minimal output so the numbers per day are a bit more impressive when you take those out, we also do no trade business and all of these are high end gaming machines.

If you spot the specs you will see the machines we offer are very close to popular configurations and we listen to what reviewers and customers tell us.

On the Oc3D Goliath review it was recommended we offer a hard drive upgrade, which we now do and has been an amazing success.

As has been hinted above, we just build PCs we would want to own ourselves which keeps the quality a step above what the competition can but dream of making.

I would just like to say thanks again to everyone, this advice means a great deal to me, I'm looking forward to ordering now, plus does anyone know when OcUK are getting some more LG Flatron W2261v monitors, I think they solded out yesterday, just that's the monitor I wanted and trust me to miss the opportunity, lol

Should be in within the next few days however we have the Viewsonic VX2260WM which is cheaper and is actually the same panel so will save you a few notes.

I always wondered what the inside of the pre-builds looked like.

Actually was on the verge of ordering a gaming PC a few months ago but wasn't sure how good the cable management would be (didn't fancy faffing with the innards - haven't got the will to fuss with PCs anymore; it's called a wife).

Really quite impressed to see that thread. Will get pre-builds in the future! :)

Wait till you see what we are coming up with on the Lancool cases, I will grab a pictue of our current level of cable management. ;)

OcUK has been slated many times, and not always due to people just doing it out of spite due to being banned from the forum, check other forums for peoples experiences. Of course these forums are paid for and ran by OcUK so it's entirely upto their discretion what is posted on their board.

I've bought from OcUK for the past few years back to the Skt A days and still buy here regularly. Most of the time everything goes smoothly, but when I've had issues and tried to get them resolved thats when the trouble starts. I've been shouted at on the phone, hung up on mid conversation by a "supervisor", had an RMA that I was waiting on replacement, waited about 6 weeks and had heard nothing, without any form of contact they'd decided to refund my order rather than replace under warranty without even telling me and the only reason I found this out was by phoning myself.

Despite these issues I have bought again here and will continue to do so, most of the time things go fine, my only qualms would be with the Customer Support forum for the slow responses, but Im guessing not everyone has slow responses other thing would be the lack of a geographical number.

Thats my experiences of OcUK in the time I've used them, hopefully this wont get the thread locked and the post will be left, but it's upto the admin :)

Show me an online store that doesn't at times have issues. OcUK has improved a lot and grown from the looks of thing at a good rate, a handfull of negative commentsa here and there wether genuine or not aren't gonna really have a big impact I would think. OcUK has far more returning custmers I would expect partially due to the added community that is the forums. Not many stores have forums as populated as this.

Yes, we've had issues in our past, years ago, but when a company grows quickly, things suffer.

We're 10 years old now so we matured and improved and nearly all my staff are enthusiasts who live and breathe computers. That's why people keep coming back to us.

This. It's one of the most reputable places for computer parts/knowledge on the internet for UK customers that I am aware of.

Buy the PC and contribute to the "Buy Spie another Ferrari fund" :D

Customer service is something that we are being proactive about, since moving to our new premesis

The professional appearance of the company is paramount and incidents mentioned above have been ironed out.
The management team at OcUK is working hard to get things right and I think this is really showing from a customer service point of view.

OcUK system support is seeing big improvements also, the support channels have been changed to allow as many forms of contact as possible.
We have our own webnote service for systems, the customer support forums on here as well as our system support line which is manned by our full team of technicians.

We are all enthusiasts who love what we do, this reflects in the quality of the product we supply. Admittedly we dont get it right all the time but suggestions for improvement are always welcome and we listen to all feedback when we do mess things up.

Here is an example of a build in progress that has been started today, this is about to go into our quality control;

The work that myself and Yewen put into making sure our systems are compatible, well built and great value is reflected in the overall quality of the systems

Consider the amount that Spie has quoted us shipping, I can only see this number increasing in 2010!

with the promise of exciting new hardware on the horizon from the worlds best manufacturers, our systems look set to improve

Yup the people that seem to answer the phones now seem to have a bit more customer service skills than when I had issues. The improvements don't go unnoticed :)

do certain people build certain systems ? just curious if like theres one guy who builds says same oc i7 rig every day .

I wish my pc looked like that :9

Mines currently looks like a zombie split open and spilling it's intestines all over my floor :o
