so what's the bike of choice ? 
I'm of course taking my main/carbon bike no way could I go on SS! need speed and low gear for hills.

Hmm doing these hills on a single-speed wouldn't be fun unless you run a spinny gear which would be carp in Central London.
I'm sure some dude with uber-quads and adamantium knees probably would though.

my brother rides his all over london and all the local hills no problems! I'm actually shocked that his knees haven't popped yet, I'll have a chat with him but the chance of him coming for 100ish miles + 7k ft on a SS with 49/17 gearing is low.
pfth.. my gearing now looks like a joke double front 32-11 back

Looks like Going to Cali is out, but my flat mate is in.

should be alright, cycle in every morning with sleeveless tops for the past ~1ish month and haven't been cold yet.
I might get cold while waiting - if I get there early.

managed to sort out the bike with 1 frame and 1 saddle back which should save me from taking backpack! - not pretty but function over form this time. Decided to go against taking the virb with me, too much kit on the bike already, taking virb + attaching battery pack is lots of unwanted hassle ha
I think it'll be easier just to meet at the RP cafe?
Not sure if you are still coming Calpol? We are heading out at 9.15
