these are the instructions:

º·.¸¸.·ºINSTALLATIONº·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·º
-Cleaning your installation (DO THIS BEFORE INSTALLING THE PACK)
1. Hit Windows Key + R to open the Run console.
2. Type in and enter the following: %appdata%/.minecraft/
To reach the folder on a Mac:
1. Open Finder.
2. Navigate to the following: (Username)/Library/Application Support/minecraft.
3. That should open a folder, in that folder delete the bin folder.
4. Run Minecraft and let it patch. When that's done, close Minecraft completely.

Installing the texture pack
1. Save my pack's zip file to the texturepacks folder in your minececraft directory. (Do not extract!)
2. Download the latest version of MCPatcher. (People keep ****ing this step up.)
3. Run MCPatcher and hit Patch, then close it when it's done.
4. Run Minecraft and go to Mods and Texture Packs to select my pack.

Can't you patch it and copy the .png files into the Minecraft,jar- or did I just make that up?

Also smelting is HELLA slow. Again, not sure if it's 1.5 or the server.

Hmm are there any other texpacks in the 'texture packs' folder where you are placing misas zip? Sounds like you're doing it right.

Its the server, everything seemed to be going in slow motion when i was on.

First time I've played in ages. Quite drunk but happy you updated the server to 1.5 as that's what I've been running since it came out, my fault

If you just watch a mob or try and kill it, you'll see what the type of lag is like.

It's not like the old lag where the server was dying though. It's weird. Mining and walking are generally fine.
Maybe try with less plugins and see if one of them is dodgy.

Watching other players move about is very jerky now too, and someone else mentioned minecarts are completely screwed with the lag.

Also, could you possibly look into the spawn rates of animals? Me and Furb had 2 pigs in 3 hours.

I'd just like to report that at about 0430 i went on the server and was completely alone, and it was still running badly - it took about 4 minutes for the sun to set, it would go down a little, jerk back up, go down some more, jerk back etc.

Just thought you'd like to know

I've disabled a number of plugins and restarted the server. I'll come back in an hour or so to see if it has resolve the problem.
