OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Wheres your lighthouse? Ive got a huge underground network on the go atm going from my mountain(of doom) and stopping at various places.

Heres a map showing it anyway, the circles are rough locations of entranceways, Its all tracked up apart from the last leg of it.

Would be cool if we could link it all up.

I'll need to have a look at the latest carto, last spot I went to surface in was in the middle of water so not sure where the end is. No action stops as yet - partly as I'm not sure how to do them yet! :D I'll update when I sort out carto guess-imates

Edit: Here's the track I've laid so far:

I've built a little shelter where I hit the surface near Pongo's Sand Castle but I've not built a stop yet to return to my Light House and just kept going. You can get to my house as it's public and go down the track if you have a cart, the "home set" is right next to the start of my track.

Unfortunately it looks like we're building in opposite directions for now, won't be long until I'm done with this direction though and I do have some decent shafts going in all 4 directions directly from my house, not to mention Kainz/PR_UK's huge mines near their houses.

Molinari - linking mine and yours should be pretty simple actually as our mines have already connected between your sub and my lighthouse! Might need to call an engineer in for the best way of doing it though lol!

Well I can take my tunnel from the sub and go towards the island where your lighthouse is, then we can work out a way to connect them :). How deep is the line you are digging?

How come im not on the white list?

I was on it.

I deserve to be on it as i host and own the OCUKMC site ;)

Have you registered on the linktart.co.uk website as per the instructions in the first post?

If you've not played for a while this is likely the problem :) (the Minecraft server itself is now hosted on the LinkTart dedi)

To those building railways from the South\ East, should we pick a point to build a station where they can all connect (was thinking somewhere between spawn and the massive glass dome/ rocket).

I really don't fancy building a line all the way up to spawn as my build is absolutely miles away.... already built loads of track (1min+ ride currently), and am still not even 30% of the way to spawn.

Another station we could link up to, attached to spawn by another single line would make things much easier.

Nice to see you back Rizo, a lot has changed since you've been gone. Server is now owned and run by FrenchTart on his and LinktoInsanity's dedicated server. We're now on a new map which is of a fixed size (7500x7500), you may notice some builds from the last server, these were copied across during a transition period which has long since passed. The entire southeast quadrant of the map is designated 'unstable land' this means this part of the map is wiped on a semi regular basis to provide fresh resources and new blocks as they become available in future updates (do not build there).
There is now an admin team consisting of Tefal, Zumii, Maxilive and myself (sylvet) should the need arise. Is your brother returning also?

It's not that deep, at a guess around 50 blocks down from the surface of water although it should be possible to link it up regardless mate, we'll figure something out!

We're building an underground at the mo but would be nice to link to an over-land line obviously. If we can get an idea of where your track ends I'm guessing it'd be best to do as you suggest and make a main station somewhere near Spawn and link everything back to there somehow.

The big dome/rocket thing is mine, and the small dome there is a train station. I've already built an overland railway most of the way to spawn, so we should connect our tracks up.

Some of your underground appears to be going underneath my megabuild. (Need a new carto to see it.) I'm not sure how deep the track is, or how deep my build will go, but I'll divert the track if they end up interfering with each other.

So yeah, the little dome is a station. It's only got 2 tracks so far, the long one going towards spawn and a little one that just goes to my storage area. It's already sunken into the ground, so just punch a tunnel through the walls somewhere to connect the rail systems.

My rails to spawn isn't quite finished, but it won't take long to complete the last bit near spawn. You can see it quite clearly on the carto coming out the back of the big dome.
