Oh you idiot!

I'm worried about my mind frankly, I forgot my Minecraft username is different from my forum one :rolleyes:

Really sorry about this, is there anyway I could perhaps get my registered username and whitelisted username changed from vaderdsl to ndawn please?

Really doesn't bode well does it that I fail at the very first hurdle :eek:

15 blocks seems to be the optimum I think, I noticed the cart slowing down after that distance

Not sure what else to suggest... CCC has always been a bit of a dodgy piece of software IMO. Navigating to the advanced options requires you to use a specific order of commands, and then when you change the options they don't seem to affect anything anyway

Part of the reason why I ditched ATi tbh

My daughter wont' sleep again.. so I'm playing and found two dungeons next to each other (2 spawners) literally about 8 blocks apart at the bottom of the mountain I'm carving up (turning it into a James Bond style villain hideout).

Any use for a spawner? currently spawning numerous invincible pigs!

I do know one spawns zombies, not sure about the pig one if it can be changed.

The IndustrialCraft mod idea was mostly tongue in cheek, wouldnt be practical to implement, though im very into the idea of a more diverse minecraft experience. Plasmacraft looks good (again not practical), basically anything to increase the craftable items/blocks available,

Also (this has probably been asked before) but is it possible to get PVP enabled in certain areas ? for a bit of RP adventuring and/or arena areas, so your safe whilst out of of them.... well apart from my wolves

finally, do mods that are implemented have to be Bukkit mods ?

All mob spawners have a pig inside them, if you light them and grass them they'll spawn client side immortal pigs.

put them back in the dark and they'll spawn their usual mob.

BIG ISSUE

just wandering around today and i found this,

ok so its a chunk error whatever, but then i got someone to TP to me and they saw it too, reloged same thing. im thinking its a corruption of a chunk

i can also fall down it etc..

its pretty hard to get a location so the co-ords are:

X: 16.087

Y: 67.620

Z: 1.1681

It's possible that it'll just be fixed by a server restart though.

I'd also be up for a bit of PvP. I doubt it's possible to restrict it via server functions to only certain areas but I'm sure it could be policed in the same way greifing is.

Ok so you are wondering about booster sections, use 3 -4 to start your cart off. then one every 26 blocks to maintain 8m s-1. Afaik - according to the wiki. seems to work fine when i tried it. Remeber!!! you have to make sure they are powered to work - they will only slow you if they are unpowered.

One every 26 is totally inadequate unfortunately. I went off of the info on the wiki too, and you'll often find it's too slow to get up a one block hill.

I think gazzab ended up going down the rail changing it to 1 every 10 - 15 blocks, and using a booster up all sections of hills, which works far more effectively.

It's 1 every 26 on flat ground. Hills will kill your momentum and require boosters on the slopes to keep the speed up.

I think I'll try with boosters every 15-20 blocks, but it will take a bit of time as my track (marked below) is now quite long...

Am I right in saying corners reduce your speed as well?

I think but dont quote me on this to obtain maxium speed to must have a booster every 25 tracks.

In which case default minecraft cheaply rewards people who spend more time on the server?

Personally I lvoe the idea of the industrial craft mod, pretty much all the devices take huge amounts of resources and there's harsh penalties for messing up the set up.

But it wont get on the server, would need a new map, server and client side modding to work.

I'm saying its rewarding them because if say, I had to study for an essay, and I wasn't able to play as much, it means that I am getting punished by not being able to gather the items for this, thus making the game harder til I can. It's effectively an easy mode that costs your time, and while I am talking about this on Minecraft, there isn't any "easy" mode to be honest other than peaceful.
It rewards the time you spend on it, not punishes you for the time you don't like with this mod, because while on SP this wouldn't be a problem, MP it would be.

(If you didn't understand this, then understand I ramble a lot)
