Won't a map reset actually be needed one day? It sort of makes all the building worthless if it's all gonna be deleted.



Also some people must be able to help build an ultra long bridge???

Not really unless code for the game was changed in a very big way. Bukkit has a few plugins that allow world editing and regeneration. World edit is its name most servers run with it. You could regenerate a whole map with this plugin.

As for players builds people come and go a good thing that could be done is say people become inactive for a set period of time the land they have builds on could be regenerated randomly. Making room for new players and current players.

Still to do : The right and rear exterior walls, arena seating near the stage bit, all of the interior floor T_T and the roof.
Oh and correct afew things which don't look right to me!

You don't seem to be getting a lot of response to this, despite posting several times now. :(

Give me nudge if you see me on and if I'm not up to much I'll give you a hand. I seem to have periods of play on the server where I'm not actually doing anything, just mooching around my place wondering which of the few mini projects I have on the go I should make an effort to finish.

I have a double chest full of cobble that I could probably do with clearing out to donate/trade as well if you need some.

Do you have a home set near by encase you're not on and I want to take a look. Won't do anything with out checking what you want done, unless it is obvious but be nice to see what I am letting myself in for! :D
 
I just bought a server off multiplay for me and a few friends to use, does anyone know how i login as admin, or is OPs the highest state of admin there is in this?

Willhun hun what mats are you needing for this, I'm on at odd hours at the moment with being on nights so I can gather some up for you. If you need stone I have plenty of cobble I can start processing for you.

Just give me a shout on what you need. I'll try pop over to your place to have a looksie too.

Edit: I've created a double chest in your place & filled it with cobble.

Gave this a go last night and i can see why its addictive. BUT on the mp server i didnt know where to start. Are there still spare areas where i could set up a wee house etc?if there are, i couldnt see them.

There are quite a few spots. However they are further out, so you may have to do some travelling about to find your perfect location :).
 
If anyone is looking for fresh land, just do /home halfmad

I'm the only person with anything of any size built in the area and to the west and North/south west is completely unexplored as far as I can see. My home is always public so you don't even have to set this area as you're home, just let me know where you are and I'll make a track to it and link it up to the station I'm building inside hollow-mountain.

I'm trying to keep my impact on the local landscape to a minimum, so please move a little away if you're building anything huge and for the love of god don't go breaking the glass over at my artificial lake or you'll flood the mine beneath :p

Seriously though there's a silly amount of territory on the map unclaimed so a map reset won't be needed for a heck of a long time and if it happened I'm sure FT would have a damn good reason for doing it.
 
I've been tempted by this game recently and I don't really know why as I normally have no patience for this sort of thing.

How long does it take to build the big structures, are we talking months and months of intricate work or can you throw stuff up pretty quickly?

I saw some of the Nations At War videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiXNBUo7Zhc) and it looked utterly stunning, have any of you tried any of the pvp/factions servers? Do they work or is it a bit of a gimmick?
