Brooder - as long as you want to spend to be honest, depends what you want to build it out of etc as some resources take long to gather and others require you to use furnaces and so need fuel for the furnaces. On the whole though if you just want to crack on with a build and pick an easy material which you can gather or have donated by other players who are busy mining, you can throw up huge builds in a few hours.

There's a few of us addicted to mining, I tend to donate far more mats than I ever get. Especially gravel, cobblestone, earth and coal but there's plenty of people willing to donate mats too, especially if the build sounds cool.

Plenty of folks on the server are seriously limited in time they can spend in game and have some massive builds.

Still to do : The right and rear exterior walls, arena seating near the stage bit, all of the interior floor T_T and the roof.
Oh and correct afew things which don't look right to me!

I'm the only person with anything of any size built in the area and to the west and North/south west is completely unexplored as far as I can see. My home is always public so you don't even have to set this area as you're home, just let me know where you are and I'll make a track to it and link it up to the station I'm building inside hollow-mountain.

I'm trying to keep my impact on the local landscape to a minimum, so please move a little away if you're building anything huge and for the love of god don't go breaking the glass over at my artificial lake or you'll flood the mine beneath

Seriously though there's a silly amount of territory on the map unclaimed so a map reset won't be needed for a heck of a long time and if it happened I'm sure FT would have a damn good reason for doing it.

From my mountain, go out the side door (next to dog) and go north - there's a huge mountain there near the water with a lava pool at it's base. That has one of the best views I've seen in game and a daft amount of resources around it - including snow I've no idea why none of the visitors to my house, and there have been plenty have never built anything on top of that damn mountain!!

I just quickly popped on and went /home and I just saw a black block and was being suffocated - I died and lost all my items and I was carrying quite a lot.

I haven't changed my home for ages now - I have no idea where I lost my stuff

Can you look into this at all FT? I lost loads of stuff

EDIT: I just logged on again and went /home and it's back to my original home =\ No idea what's going on... All I want though is my items back - Any way you can roll back?

That's happened to me before Marky - without any gear on you try /home again, if it works dig directly down (or go down if you have ladders/steps etc. You're gear will be there somewhere on that vertical line from your /home.

We can't rollback player inventories and there is no log of what you lost sorry.

Is there not a plugin we can get installed which logs this sort of thing - I'm sick of losing my stuff!

It does suck when stuff like this happens but if ever you find yourself suffocating I do recommend quickly typing /spawn or /home again. I have done this and 9 times out of 10 not died.

there is a plug in that if you die it will create a chest in that location and put all your items into it. but that is sort of cheating. This works in the case of lave death too.

There is a Bukkit version (or was) but tbh I don't really like the idea of it as it takes some of the danger out of the game.

This happened to me when I did /spawn once a few months ago. I dunno what caused it, but I assumed someone had placed blocks at spawn to kill people, but when I respawned, nothing was there. Still don't know why it happened.

oh i agree FT i dont like it and i think it is cheating but i also was just pointing out that it is there.

I have macro keys on my keyboard set to /home, /spawn and /home joachim (I love your spawner mate!). Saves me a heck of a lot of the time, even mash them when I know I'm burning to death.. I usually die at home!

found my stuff about 20 blocks down in a small hole the rock, so I had literally to dig it back out!

Often what happens with this is that you spawn about half a block lower than you should do - hence you suffocating and sometimes finding things beneath you if you dig down.

Willhun hun what mats are you needing for this, I'm on at odd hours at the moment with being on nights so I can gather some up for you. If you need stone I have plenty of cobble I can start processing for you.

Just give me a shout on what you need. I'll try pop over to your place to have a looksie too.

Edit: I've created a double chest in your place & filled it with cobble.

It's all cobble, abit lazy I know but it does not look so bad.

Lucky cause if there was no hole beneath you, then you'd have lost the lot FOREVER!
