Could you provide some examples of my negative attitude towards admins?

Call me stupid, but I can only recall one moment where I was actively hostile against an admin, and that was sylvet.

Other times, I would say it would be a shoddy attempt at banter (maxi knows this ;)).

EDIT: Regarding the repairing of the damage, I could not understand why a simple revert would not be possible (saving every party some time). However when told 'you fill it up with sand' I was shocked as I could not get the sand in that short period of a time to repair the damage. I later provided the cobble solution, which was then clarified to include a sand top.

Which MC version are we using on the server? I keep getting 'bad stream' login failures - I assume because my client is ahead of the server version?

1) Scrlk didn't approach the admins about a possible bug. He instead abused it and boasted about openly in server chat.

2) Scrlk has caused damage to areas on the server previously and when asked to fix the damage has had an incredibly bad attitude towards the admins. He has been told before that he was on his last warning.

3) Scrlk's attitude towards admins whllst on the server has been inflammatory. Admins are doing their job. They don't deserver abuse or childish remarks any more than any of the rest of you do.

4) Random comments about admins not listening and similar remarks look pretty stupid when the very reason this has been investigated and discussed amongst the admins is a forum post from a member on here.

5) So far there have been no punishments for 'bad vouching' beyond us keeping a closer eye on the player in question. It is quite possible that the player will lose 'vouching rights' if we discover any further problems but that hasn't been decided upon yet. Either way, it is a completely different situation to scrlk - the players that freddie vouched for that *did* cause problems have already been banned.

I can understand that guy being banned for everything thing he did, however for the Monster spawner I accidently destroyed i was banned i dont see how that was fair.
 
I would like to throw this in to the ring:

Why were the admin discussions conducted in private? I wouldn't of minded having genuine problems being thrown at me; this also provides me with a chance to clarify areas and to examine the claims.

EDIT: Looking back on the desert issue, I do see I got aggressive in some points and that was because of the lack of responses or the blunt one lince responses. If it contained something along the lines of:

"scrlk, the TNT'ing in the desert has upset some players who have their builds near it. As it is a player action (not griefing or creeper induced damage), sadly we can not revert it. Could you please find a solution to fix the desert that would be acceptable to all parties? (if you need sand it's in the unstable land)

Thanks."

I doubt I would have got so aggressive.

Another incident which could have came out better was the taking items from my chest incident. A simple explanation on why the policy has changed would have sufficed and asking the players who took items to return them. The fire spread one got me somewhat annoyed due to the short notice and lack of announcements. All of these I would say I was in my rights to get a little annoyed/angry at the admins.

French, if you would post the segment of the chat log when I 'boasted' about my piston farm it would allow other players to take a look and make up their own mind. If you do so, please do note that this was BEFORE the current policy came along.

Shame about Scrlk, he is a really nice guy who was fun to play with.

Also, I have vouched for a few people that have turned out to be idiots. Thing is, they start out wanting to play properly then they get bored and stop playing. Then they'll decide they want to have a last laugh and come on and grief- they have nothing to lose after all as they no longer play. Can't really control that.
 
By any chance, would the admins consider letting me back when 1.7/1.8 is released? I would say this would be ample time to review my past actions.

Freddie suggested staring out the way it was done, so I've edited it slightly and underlined any changes ;)

Assuming you are on the whitelist ?

If so it's usually because the server is restarting or the texture pack you've got selected isn't compatible with the client version - although chances re you are using the default one :D

Thanks for all the support, both side of the argument are very strong. Let's just hope this ends well (and time heals all wounds). :)

I would like to say thanks to all on the server for the good times, without MP Minecraft would have remained untouched - SP just doesn't cut it sadly. Most of all, I would like to say thanks to the admin team despite our recent spat - dedicated people giving up their free time so that the community can be a better place.

I've enjoyed playing with you all with all the building and banter - best of luck in all your builds, and I hope you see you all again one time.
