Windle can you add some extra vaults please. I'll be needing a vault space and there are no free vaults I could add my sign to.

Now you lot that came in last night with dynamite west of spawn have really annoyed me. You ought to have come spoken to me before deciding to roll in and rig the site with explosives.

If you had actually bothered to ask, or look through this thread, you will see that the area was previously a wasteland mess, abandoned. There seems to have been a provisional plan for an arena but as far as I could tell, the player was gone from the server.

Mrtckane was previosuly working on the area and I offered to help clear the area. After 10 days of clearing it became clear to me that NOBODY else was even looking at the area as anything more than a cheap cobble source.

At no point in the last 10 days did anyone else turn around and say "Hey Taz, you know there are plans for this area, what area you doing here?".

After shifting a lot of rock and making the whole site ready for development, I stuck my signs up so that prospectors wouldn't gouge more holes, to protect the area from being ruined more - as per the server rules.

All you TNT happy people needed to do was talk to me, ffs.

When you lot rolled in with your TNT, you didn't even bother to ASK ME what the plan was. Because if you had, I would have pointed out that it was in limbo with an old planto use it for the spawn town. If no one had ever looked at the area, of course I would have gone ahead and built something in keeping with the area, after discussing then plans here. I'm not the freakshow guacamole obsessive like one of the other players on this server. I'm not just going to start acting like a jerk and building awful nonsense that impinging on the spawn or other peoples work.

I'm angry that several individuals felt my stake and work was somehow inferior to more established players and that therefore whatever I had done could be automatically disregarded and destroyed.

Safe to say I'll not take any initiative to participate in any further community related projects if this is how y'all treat contributors not approved by the committee.

I'm sorry if players object to my making good of a unused area. Next time I'll log in I'll put it back to something resembling the mess in the screenshots below and you can dig your own damn holes 'for the town'.

The torch marked area you see there is where i want to put the arena. I'm slowly chipping away at it but i at least need to level it off before i can even think of placing a block. Edit: which will take longer that life by myself.

Someone either removed said signs and dug stuff up anyway, or someone else removed the signs then someone else came along and went 'oh look, this areas free'.

Its sad that the server gets like this at times

The argument was because nobody knew why Taziir had claimed the land, so certain people started placing TNT everywhere.

(I joined in and made a landmine there, but I took it out again before it hurt anyone - sorry)

The parthenon idea (that's the plan right?) sounds good tbh after Gober explained, it could fit in quite well there.
 
like i said last night, you didnt do anything wrong Taziir. It's pretty comical that somebody with all of 6 posts here takes offence because 'some newbie has claimed a **** load of load near spawn'.

if you /bbhere'd near that tnt then you probably know who put it there, too. it's not on.

there were signs everywhere, it's not an excuse to start tnt'ing land just because people dont know why it's reserved. Besides, it's wasnt much of an argument when Taziir wasnt around to explain. Wasn't given much of a chance was he?

I'll live lol. As I say, I'll just not lift a finger to help out the spawn town and concentrate in contributing where I want and only work with other mature players.

Btw thanks for sticking up for me Jmiller, I appreciate it. They can do whatever they want with the site, it's the double standard that annoyed me.

eh? There were signs apparently, so why TNT it? Not saying it was you speciically...but seriously, unless people are putting signs around randomly now next to chickens or something, i dont see why anyone would question it

This is the reason I ran away from spawn for ten minutes and made a house somewhere ranodm :p

it was because that bunch of people werent happy. Despite spawn being built, they felt that the land should be reserved for spawn to be expanded *at some point* (even though i suggested it weeks ago and nothings happened) and were not happy with Taziir claiming the land. Taziir played by the book, he claimed the land, clearly marked it, put signs with the date on it everywhere ect. They were bang out of order doing that.

Semi, you need to roll your client back to beta 1.1_02 as that is what the server is currently running.
 
IT was fun to watch the same person trying to build a new spawn town only for it to last just over an hour before handbags were exchanged on the top of a cliff.

The planned build will now take place South of spawn to the left of the Spawner we made, between mine and Taziir's house.

Ok lets see if I have got this right....
Your telling me that they just TNT the land right next to spawn & just left it in the state thats shown in the above image ?
Let alone the fact a member did everything that the rules say about claiming land ?

When discussing in the last 4-5 days on mumble, as me, andy, taz and nick have been doing the spawner and other builds together I wanted to build this:

And Taz suggested using the land near spawn he had cleared and put signs up saying he was clearing.

Last night we were doing some mine work, when some players were referring to the land, when we then went to spawn it was then layered with around 13-17 blocks of TNT.

After the discussion, that apperently Taz is too newbie to build at spawn, and that area will be wanted for spawn enlargment, me and Taz abandoned the site and have found an alternative area near to our properties.

almost,

the image above is how it used to look. Taziir and i believe gober as well cleared a lot of the land ready to build. tnt was then placed on top of the cleared land despite it being clearly reserved. toasted, who is suspended on the forums right now, was the instigator. Rizo-uk placed the tnt, as well as some other people. bbhere will confirm that. I cant remember the other names involved.

Seriously, just build it there. If Rad thinks it's too close to spawn, he can move the entire building in one hit. there's no need to go finding a new site and levelling that as well.

Sorry to jump in here, but can anyone let me know if the in-browser Minecraft classic game has or had creatures in it? I remember playing the game a while ago with other creatures but can't remember if I bought a copy of the game, or it was the old free version.

Every player on this server is being watched & every single block on this server is being watched.

Also in the servers 4+ month history we have only had to perm ban 2 players one due to being already being banned from the OcUK Forums & the other for tipping lava over a players head.

well that's disgraceful.

After the success we had with the Parthenon the pantheon would-be an excellent build.


And sadly the misuse of tnt is even more annoying for those of use that use it for construction because it'll end up getting nerfed because of dicks.

If you need coble to fix the land give me a yell i might still have some stacks.


i'd much rather a newb build something beautiful than a "pro" build some butt ugly cobble cube.
