Please read the OP, all the details are there on how to sign up. Once you have followed those steps post back & we can look at the whitelist for you

I am against this but if it was to happen in the future would it be possible to have a copy of the map files please so I can run on my lan server.

Probably. Getting somewhere to upload the 1GB file to is the hardest part.

Use winrar spit the archive or create a torrent are good solutions

A torrent could work I guess.

Splitting the archive wouldn't achieve anything though. I've got plenty of upload on the linktart dedi but I don't really want potentially 200 x 1GB downloads slowing down the server for everyone and making my monthly bandwidth usage go through the roof

I was thinking split archive then upload to something like multiupload. Saves bandwidth. No strain on linktart server that way.

I find the biggest advantage of multiuplod is that they auto send the file to dif file share sites give you links to all of them so is use cap on one site others are options. btw this is the site i mean. http://www.multiupload.com/

Again, if we do have a map reset I think only one build should be carried over and that is gazzab's airport since he has been working on it for months.

When you are talking about map reset, does that mean loosing invs as well?

It's almost guaranteed that a map reset won't be happening. If it does, no builds will be moved over. There are plenty of builds that have had months of work put into them (e.g. Tefal's build).

As Tefal said, there's no real good reason for a map reset. There's tons of world left to explore and the unstable land can be reset if people need resources or we need to regenerate an area to generate new dungeons/etc.
