The stripe is the red cream thye use between the chips and the heatsink :)

Or the temperature of the superheated water after cooling the new variants when the 9900+++++++++++++++++++++++ gets replaced with a ten core 25w tdp intel marketing gubbin.

Gamers Nexus run an extensive ram test with the 3900X. 3800C16 is the sweet spot of max out performance.
Some games, especially like Tomb Raider, Hitman 2, the difference between 3200 and 3800 is vast like buying a new CPU.
ESO & X4 are also games greatly affected by ram speed.

However I am patiently waiting the F4-3800C14-8GTZN hit the markets to change my 5y old ram kit (Gskil 3600C16).

@Gibbo any indication when the Gskill F4-3800C14-8GTZN will be available? It was announced back in July.
