[OcUK Staff Builds] Project Defiant

Updates as promised.

It is nearly finished the fittings arrived on friday so the loop is now complete.

I have had a change of heart as far as my chip is concerned and have now purchased a 980X I wll be posting some pictures of the finished build later today with some screens of performance benchmarks.

No I didn't not sure if someone editted it for me! What a nightmare it's been today, can't wait to get it all up and running correctly the overclocking can begin!
 
Sorry for the lack of pictures etc. Have had major problems as my board has died! :eek:

Sorted everything out now though so hopefully fingers crossed it should be finished tonight.
 
So its finally finished and home now and I love it I hope you guys do to. This has been nearly a year in the making!

Ok and now for its performance and I have to say I wasnt expecting it to be as good as it is but I am very very please to say the least grinning like a cheshire cat :D

So first off Temps at idle

Then with prime running, The highest I have seen in rise to was 80 in a very hot room.

And finally 3D Mark Vantage score which I am very chuffed with

Rushed pics indeed, they really don't show the quality of the build compared to how it looks IRL! You and RJK should have pics side by side as should me and Nathwraith :D

Hmmm we need to get something organised when we are all free and I will get my lights set up with back cloth and do some high quality pics
 
How many months of your pay went into that? :eek:

Looks immense though, congrats on a great build and spec!

Thanks! going to try for 4.4 when I get the time, and yes it took more pay packets than I care to imagine
 
your build is sweet
your photography needs improvement

plug the wire from the I/O shield into the board too. Lazy!!

did the o-ring fairy steal the focus button on your camera? :D
