wow. ours certainly dont sound like that

warranty is a year on the system parts plus any manufacturer warranty on the parts in addition.

Very interested in this. What is your policy though if it leaks and harms hardware within the machine?

Agree, that's the main thing that is holding me back. If the temps are great or even match the 100i I would pick it up, that said the corsair warranty for any leaks is another thing to consider.

Curious about this too snips, though i have my k2 on a 4.5ghz 4770k that hits 94c in p95. Therefore im very interested in the 240mm rad version. Also id regain my top most pcie slot which would allow me to go back to using my xonar DX audio card. Plus with red fans and coolant it would look rather snazzy along with my board.:D

you should get a decent loop set up setter .mates just got his 4770k @4.6 bundle on water idles at 20c ingame 50c. he built it today.

Yeah, but I think Hswell chips are a bit of a lottery when it comes to cooling as well as the OC. I'm guessing the TIM under the IHS can vary and cause differences. Even at 4.3GHz @ 1.17v mine can still hit high 80s when running Prime95 for just a few minutes. Gaming it hits around 60 (depending o nthe game), while idle is around 30ºC.
I'm running a custom loop with a 240mm rad.

I do plan to expand the loop to include a GPU and add another rad (360mm) but I think I'd really need to delid to notice any real improvement in temps.

Moving from my H60 (temporary measure) to my custom loop did help temps though. So it's possible one of these could help a bit.

I got this cooler with the radiator upgrade, unfortunately it didn't fit in my FT02 where the Corsair H70 did on the top 120mm mount so I had to replace one of the fans at the bottom. Luckily I didn't get the 240mm version to go down there as it wouldn't fit due to the size of my EVGA 780 SC card.

I think one of the tubes may be too long, plus there's still an air bubble despite me taking the cap off, running for a few hours before topping up again. My 4770K idles at 28c and goes up to 88c in prime at 4.2ghz.

Quite a high temp. Maybe you need a push-pull for that thick rad..

I'm pretty sure the 240mm is cooler though.

Unfortunately the supplied screws weren't long enough to go through the plate at the bottom, the fan and into the radiator. That's why I had to put it on the top so they only had to go through the fan. If anyone knows where I can get longer screws for this radiator from, please let me know! Only another 5mm would be enough... :)

Just read in another thread, the cpu's in the extreme bundles are delidded and pasted with liquid metal. Explains the better temps as watercooling alone doesn't make a lot of difference over high end air cooling.
