*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

I've got a WiFi 6 router set up 1 metre away from me and the latency fluctuates depending on the game, from around 30 to 60... sometimes spiking over 100 (in NMS). I changed the router to Wifi6 only (not mixed) and no other device is using it... think I saw a slight improvement.

Got my quest 2 up and running

Don't know if it's something I'm doing, but I'm seeing a load of stutter in HL alyx over VD that I didn't see on my quest 1.

VD settings, I've set to medium graphics, 72fps 150Mhz (this is the max I am seeing, I had thought with Q2 it might have been higher). HL Alyx settings are on medium fidelity. I'm running a 3700x with an overclocked 2060. VD desktop set to automatie for preferred codec and unticked "automatically adjust bit rate". Latency is mid 20s.

Anyone any thingouts why i might be seeing stutter ?

Just tried it using link, and it's fine. So something up with VD here. THe only thing that's changed is the Q2, Q1 worked with Alyx just fine with this setup. Although VD has been updated quite a bit since I traded in my Q1 some weeks ago.

It's launch day for the Quest 2!

Please use this thread to discuss everything about your Quest 2, from first impressions to ongoing experiences, issues, advice and accessory/game recommendations. It's my intention that this can become a valuable place for owners to share information, as well as assisting those who are thinking about dipping in to make well informed decisions.

The hate is real.

Mines is lost in the post :p

Hi guys had a play around with the ipd and found that you can adjust in between the three settings. 2 is okay for me with a slight irritating blur on the corner. However you can move the adjustment between 1 and 2. 2 and 3 I found my sweet spot with no issues just before it clicks in to number 2. No blur. Thanks for the earlier reply

Great tip as Ive going crazy with setting it up and had to gently move it to roughly there for the blurring to disappear

However overall really impressed with it! I want a red one though!

You mean you're setting it between the presets?

Yes I have set it between the original settings I have it set just off the number 2 towards number 1. It doesn't click in but is stiff enough to stay. I'm not saying you should do this but it worked for me. The screen doesn't appear to move it moves the lenses better in line with my eyes

Is anyone else getting a slight blurriness when you don't look straight ahead? I don't think this is an IPD issue, as im very close to setting 2 anyway. Im just seeing things go slightly blurry as I move my eyeballs to the left or right, maybe about 30-40 degrees off centre.

Im probably noticing it more compared to Quest 1 because of the sharper display.

if I look dead ahead, its perfect.
