*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

Bah, custom songs are the ONLY reason to have Beat Saber, BMBF are working on getting the newest version modded for it, and if in the future Beat Saber wants to block them, well I will just never update my Beat Saber version :p

Wish I'd seen this before I wasted an hour trying to install it!

I watched a 3D version of the Warcraft movie in Skybox, and it looked great. The Quest 2's screen is so sharp that you barely notice any SDE. (1080p, Side-by-side format). I used the internal speakers and the sound was plenty good enough. The best thing was due to the battery strap i didn't have to worry about if the Quest had enough battery to watch the whole movie.

I would say though that god rays and fresnel ring glare is much more obvious than the Go or Quest 1, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the movie. Black levels were ok on the actual movie screen, though the virtual theatre did look greyish.

Anyone managed to get a smooth experience using Virtual Desktop? Doesn't matter what settings I use, I always get reprojected frames.
PC is wired 1gbit to router and Quest 2 is connected via 5GHZ wifi.
Using 3700x and a 1080Ti

Got an invoice through from Facebook now for my rift and head strap, but I haven’t received the head strap yet.... I presume this is the same as everyone else?

Both my Quest 2 and battery headstrap were delivered on release day from Oculus. Sorry you haven't got yours yet.

I have a similar setup (3900x and 1080ti) and when I'm in the same room as the router I can use Virtual Desktop fine. What games are you running as some games like No Mans Sky or Star Wars Squadrons are not well optimised for VR and will reproject no matter what. Are you sure it's reprojection or is it lag or jittering due to being too far from the router?

Hmm. We’re they in the same box? Or two different boxes?

I’m a little nervous I’ve have my head strap nabbed by the courier dude.... would be a little strange though?!

Just Beat Saber at the moment, I have the steam graph running and it shows red bars so i'm assuming it reprojecting. As for distance to the router, it's around a metre away, if that.

Do you have a USB3 lead you could try using Oculus link with? Just to see if performance is better wired.

@Ravenger sorry to bother you mate but which courier service delivered your parcels? Was it Yodel? If so did you get two tracking numbers?

I just called Yodel and they said it was one tracking number per parcel... I didn’t order my stuff straight away and the items did have different suggested dispatch dates at the time.... so there’s a chance it just hasn’t been dispatched by Oculus yet.

Very frustrating though that my order status on the website suggests it’s been dispatched

Restarted my PC and router and seemed to have half solved the problem. The spikes are away but the movement I do the more input lag I get, to a point where it's unplayable.

Got my quest 2 up and running

Don't know if it's something I'm doing, but I'm seeing a load of stutter in HL alyx over VD that I didn't see on my quest 1.

VD settings, I've set to medium graphics, 72fps 150Mhz (this is the max I am seeing, I had thought with Q2 it might have been higher). HL Alyx settings are on medium fidelity. I'm running a 3700x with an overclocked 2060. VD desktop set to automatie for preferred codec and unticked "automatically adjust bit rate". Latency is mid 20s.

Anyone any thingouts why i might be seeing stutter ?
