Very interested, but waiting for reviews. Also not quite sure how its going to work with games i.e. will it work with current games or will it only be for games made only for vr.
I'll probably get one when the 2nd generations arrive assuming they take off.

I'm going to wait, I'm not going to end up with a Betamax.

You need a incontinance bag and a Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostom or peg tube for the full Better than Life experiance.

Currently not interested.

Maybe once the price is more reasonable and if/when it becomes mainstream

Won't get one as I only play online fps games. I'd love to have one for the occasional single player game but I only play like that once in a blue moon. It's not the cash that plus me off its the owning another thing in my life. I generally find the less stuff I own the happier I am.

Going to wait for the Vive release date and price and reviews of the Rift before deciding. I think the motion tracking on the Vive looks better (a completely uninformed opinion) but want to see some hands on reviews of release versions in practice before deciding on whether to dive into VR.

Sorely tempted to preorder one now though...

I fancy the Vive but do not really have the available floor space for a true walkabout experience. Either way I'll wait for reviews and pick up one of the products later this year when I hit state-side.

Game support is far more important to me than price so I'm waiting for reviews and the publishers to announce which of their games will support VR for all of the devices, including PS4 VR, before deciding which way to go.

Having now read up on the VIVE, I'm going to wait. I don't mind paying the extra if it's really worth it. Or wait till next year and see how well it stands up. It could all just fail if development isn't kept up for it.

I expected the price around 399 dollars, it being twice that much means that I am waiting for reviews.

I am not that disappointed about the price, because I realize that having private IMAX that eats a fraction of what my plasma eats, while still being less expensive than that plasma, is pretty cool. Plus the whole VR Gaming total immersion business.

Do you mean VR cinema? I would wait...very pixelly and SDE atm. I guess if you like the cinematic experience but the picture quality is worse than betamax then by all means :D

Having 21k posts and still asserting your view as the only valid one is just plain silly.

He wasn't, he was advocating common sense. Learning about something and waiting for reviews before splunking £500 on something seems common sense to me....or do you do all your purchases blind? :D

Rift for me, can't wait until May to try it out although I have a feeling a lot of people will cancel and I will get it sooner.

The experience I got from cardboard - in all it's rudimentary glory - was enough to confirm that VR is what I expected, and very much something I want to be part of.

I haven't heard a single person using any of the dev kits say "this is garbage". DK1 through DK2 to CV1 kept getting better, and CV1 has been was heralded as a huge improvement over DK2.

The reviews to date have been very positive. The only negativity is from people who either can't stomach the experience, or feel that their particular entertainment needs are not being satisfied.

I have more than enough to make an informed purchase. I do not need to wait for the inevitable 90% positive, 10% negative reviews that will come out of the first release.

In the worst case scenario that they dupe us and send out units of less quality than CV1, I'll still take something rather than nothing.

If, in the very unlikely situation that the tech is fubar and not worth what I paid, it'll get sent back.

Apparently the touch controllers are likely to cost in excess of $200 which would put the whole package at close to $850+ inc shipping or more.

Which actually thinking about it probably isn't that far off. After all the Stem system costs $299 and is basically the same.

Definitely getting one, almost certainly the Vive.

Reviews will determine whether it's soon or when prices fall.
