Oculus Rift

Quite disappointed that they appear to be missing their initial shipments. I mean, if folk other than some of the Kickstarter backers were going to get theirs tomorrow then shipping notifications would have been sent by now.

Oh well, looks like people will get the Vive before the Rift at this rate.
 
Palmer has said that the shipping date was the 28th, rather than delivery on the 28th, just happens that a few people received it before then.

I think it's crap communication more than anything. See what gets sent out tomorrow. Glad that Vive has delivery set for the 5th, rather than dispatch. Still, that was meant to be December, so can't forget that.
 
Wondering how touch will connect to the PC

The Vive has its little breakout box, which as the vive does bluetooth for the lighthouses I presume that is handled by the box and that likely also handles communication to the controllers

Given that the rift is already using 3 USB ports and doesnt seem to include a control box, does this mean we will be plugging in another 1 or 2 USB ports for the touch too?
 
A lot of people are reading that as snide sarcasm I wouldnt take it as definate just yet

He tweeted earlier that he will be working on oculus support in a few weeks, someone hopefully joked with him that they thought he was probably also busy adding vive support and he rudely shut them down saying he was not even considering it

I am one of those people that bought AC because it had native VR support, I wouldn't have even heard of it if it wasn't for that. As a vive buyer I'm now rather annoyed to read his comments which are basically a bit of a frank underwood to many people who have already bought his product. Its way to late for me to request a refund even.

He's taken a fair bit of heat for it on twitter, he branded a bunch of people the VR mafia and was blocking them and then posted that before signing off, so its hardly a convincing statement of support.

The only even vague guideline we have so far is 1-3 weeks, and the 1 week seems not really possible at this point as I got that 4 days ago

I would hope xx32xx will be before end of May. I was predicted April with an xx32xx order, mostly seemed to be a mix of March/April for those order numbers.

I have no idea what I saw at check out. But your the same number a me..so that give me some hope.

Just don't want it sitting somewhere for a week. Still until delivered it isn't my responsibility.
 
when is the new runtime and all the 30+ release games being released? I've not used the dk2 in a while so looking forward to booting it up.
