Oculus Rift

The account I had linked for Paypal does not have an overdraft yet the bank happily let them take the payment, should they of not just refused it due to insufficient funds at the time?

Most accounts will have the option of an unarranged overdraft available, simply meaning you'll get charged a lot more than you would if it was an arranged overdraft. Depending on the bank this may be a higher interest rate, or a daily rate, just depends on what your accounts T&C's contain.

The only accounts that generally don't have that are young persons accounts.

I am on 26xxxxx and NOTHING FFS i stayed extra 2 hours at work for free to be able to preorder and what ??

not a happy chappy Paypal have 'reserved' the amount from my current account, was not ready and sent me overdrawn.

Not got an email confirming shipping or s traking number just this.

What happened to the 12th ???

What happened to not charging until shipping.

Had to raise a raise with Nationwide to try a waive to fee as I took no charge until ship as face value.

If I have not calmed down by lunchtime will send a cancellation request

my understanding of this billing untill shipping, means when the global shipping of the CV1 starts ( or wave of pre-orders ) , not personnal order

Is Alien Isolation going to have support for CV1? Also, are other good games that were supported on the DK2 also going to work on the CV1 - AssettoCorsa, Half Life 2, Richard Burns Rally and Quake (Quake Spasm)

I suspect all of those will work if they have previously worked on the DK2. You might just have to wait for some/all for them to code it up to 1.3 runtime.

Remember you have vireio and vorpx to get in on the scene as well.

Alien Isolation is an official VIVE title though so not sure how long you will have to wait before its patched to run on 1.3 oculus.

When was Alien Isolation announced an official Vive title? I've not heard about it officially supporting any headsets so far.

Nothing official then. Shame but heres hoping its true :)

A loooong time back it was on definitely on a HTC Vive splash page of official games supported coming soon. I unfortunately could not find that specific page..its probably linked on one of my posts about a year ago... hold on i'll have a look.

edit: hrmmm nope not this forum. Basically there was a list of vive games in a particular image and font and Alien isolation was one of them. Its a bit of a puzzle. You can see the Alien Isolation header on this webpage, however it was among a list of titles not seen on this page. It was a HTC Vive splash page. Not sure where it is now hrmmm

Oculus payment saga pt.2
Been on my mind most of the day so phoned the bank again tonight.

Payment of £499 is not being sourced from PayPal but Oculus themselves? PayPal would say PayPal as per usual.

Checked my Oculus order and PayPal is the payment option.

Called PayPal they have no outgoing payments pending? Although a pre approved payment is set up for Oculus Ireland but not actioned yet.

Only thing I can think of of some kind of error on pre order day where it kept freezing on checkout and had to keep re-entering details again. PayPal kept failing so tried bank details and they just timed out. PayPal went through in the end, hence the pre approved being set up ready.

Only got one order number, so raised a ticket with Oculus to see if any duplicate orders or is someone trying it on with my bank details  very

It's the 8th digit where the order number starts :D

Ahhh in that case....number 8 HUNDRED and 23 ....wake me up when its Christmas!

I do hope more good stuff will be out by then because i'm struggling to maintain my enthusiasm for VR. At least by then all the various problems should be ironed out.
