Oculus Rift

Just wondering if anyone else is finding the Core 2.0 update impacting on game performance? I'm getting between 43 and 46fps in Racket Fury and the game is almost unplayable. However, when I switch back to Oculus Classic Home instead this jumps to 90fps (I've disabled ASW to make sure that wasn't the issue). The Oculus developers on reddit said they are working on a fix...

The games I tried ran ok, but, the new home crawls for me.

did your HDMI cable arrive yet? Hope it gets there before xmas
It did, thanks for asking :)
I'm just trying to find some time to play and set up the third sensor
I purchased elite dangerous earlier on steam for a fiver. At least if it makes me nauseous in VR I might be able to have a little fly around using my TV.

Glad you are back up and running!!

Play elite on the TV first. It's an awesome experience when you see the ships in VR for the first time after playing the game on a normal monitor.

So I jumped back in to VR by purchasing another Rift. Tried a 3 sensor set up but had loads of issues setting it up. Tracking was a nightmare. Anyone have ant suggestions for future. It was soooo fiddly.

Having said that when I jumped into Rob Recall it was amazing with 3 sensors.

I'm just not sure this is enough for me to keep it. I have a feeling I'll have my fun during Christmas then sell it on. What keeps you guys coming back week after week?

Not sure how much I'll play elite. Had a go using an Xbox pad but finding the controls difficult even doing the tutorials lol - haven't even managed to get past the combat tutorial yet. I lose sight of the second ship and can't get it back in view so he kills me
The hope of more good titles, with the immersion of Robo Recall, Lone Echo and First Contact.
I'd like to get Lone Echo because of all the praise it's received but wonder if I can handle the motion.

I noticed Amazon sells keys for star trek less than the oculus store so picked one up for £20

Does anywhere else offer oculus keys at lower rates?

The developers did a great job with Lone Echo movement. Most people, even those a little more susceptible to motion sickness do fine with it. Try Echo Arena!!! It's FREE and will give you an idea if you can manage Lone Echo.

Still haven't tried Echo Arena yet, but Lone Echo is today's daily deal so I grabbed it anyway :)
Looking forward to the storyline.

Also ordered a Thrustmaster T-16000M I spotted for £25
If it works well for me in ED, I may pick up the throttle too

I got my rift all setup today and what an amazing bit of kit. Robo Recall totally blew me away and I cant wait to try out the other games I have stacked in my library.

BTW can anyone recommend a USB 3.0 extension cable. I only need 1.0m but anything will do. I tried two USB 3.0 cables I had but both failed.

What cable did you try and how did it fail?
is it a cable for the sensor or the HMD?
What port are you plugging it into? one on the motherboard or do you have a USB expansion card?
