Just ran orthos and yes, my cpu is throttling down when it hits 80 oc. Thanks for the help, at least I know its not the game.
 
Sorry to hear that, at least you know what it is then. I guess you need to get your machine repaired assuming it isn't a design fault with the heatsink solution they are using! I mean a gaming laptop can be expected to be capable of running demanding software. Especially in winter.
 
I want to play clean sweep as the trailer looked awesome, wouldn't mind playing hotzone too but there is literally nobody playing them!

yea bought this game yesterday on steam sale. Tbh, I was impressed with it, single player.

Multiplayer was alright. Reminds me of bfbc2 gameplay type.

Since posting that I have been on it once, it was "ea russia clean sweep" server and there was six of us :p


To not have the game crash randomly in between loading maps I have had to select the game run in DX10 mode. Also, to stop a black flicker that happens during gameplay I have had to set 'bloom' to low.

Anybody with an nvidia card running DX11 mode with bloom on full without the above issues?

I think they will. They are giving it away free on the EA store with a purchase of the main game now.

I am one of those stupid people with bad timing who actually paid in full for it. Still not played a game of it either.

yep mine runs with no problems, currently using drivers 260.99 on a 460GTX 1gig.

aahhh thanks. That might explain it, I started off with the official driver but noticed I had lower frames than my 5850 :eek:. I then noticed very low gpu usage in BC2 and MOH 30-40%. I did some googling and it was a common problem.

The 266.44 gives me much higher gpu usage 60-95% but has some problems it seems. Hopefully the next official solves it :)

sounds like that may solve my prob maybe - going to try some older drivers ;)

Running very well here, driver ver 260.99, can run it on max settings with 32xaa, 16xaf, plays very smoothly.
