Needs context. Why Diddnt pole sitter win? How many times has the pole sitter lost because of actual track race overtaking?

Yep, it does. And if I could genuinely be bothered I'd go through some race reports and figure something out for you. But since my patience with both F1 and F1 fandumb is down to around around 2008 levels I can't, in fact, be bothered :p

I can tell you that just once in Monaco GP history were there no recorded on-track overtakes - 2003.

The point is. Let's face it. There is not much action ever in Monaco. It's the worse track with barely any overtaking throughout the field.

Even my old Nissan micra would hold back the grid if I was the pole sitter

Hoping it will be as entertaining as the Formula-E the other week, having Alonso starting 2nd could help that hope become a reality.

The way they restarted this F2 race is total bull. Utterly stuffed the runners who had started on supersofts.

I'd still rather watch any race from Monaco than races in Abu Dhabi, or Saudi Arabia, or Qatar.

Just seen the tyres graphic on BBC from a post at 1326, apparently Alonso doesn't have a single fresh pair of tyres for the race... Doesn't bode well for first corner shenanigans with Max, if they aren't all forced to use a wet tyre.
