Its quite interesting just how little difference CPU speed seems to make, im amazed my score managed to beat Doug's with my 3ghz and mild overclock on my video card.

This new 3DMark Vantage is a bit strange. Graphical test 1 and 2 average of 15 - 17 FPS? I mean, come on... I am happy of my system anyway and if anything is wrong it's Vantage not my CPU or GPU

Well that settles it, GX2's officially rock
I cant understand how people are saying its a poor bench,
the light/water effects on the first test are simply brutal if you think the pc is calculating how the lights boucing off the surface etc,
and did you see how many asteroids there are in the space test....and not to mention jaynes bouncing boobies...daaaym

true but yours a is quad core cpu 4x3ghz vs 2x3.2ghz
I would try to get more juice from the cpu and gfx but future mark seem to think their new ideas of totally crippling the free version is great
guess the days of using 3dmark regulary to test systems are performing as usual is gone unless you slpash the cash on upgrading it 
but guess we could still use 06 for a while yet.

Just updated from the 169.25 driver to the 175.12 drivers and got nearly 400 more points
