It is a very nice card. Been having a few problems with it on Windows 8.1 though. Might go back to 7.

My 7990 coil whine vanished as well after a few weeks of using it. Luckily my 290's have zero coil whine.

Instead of using one dual cable from one PCI-E port from the PSU - power using 2 PSU ports and 2 cables. I'm talking if you have a modular PSU.

i mite have to RMA my 7990, i have a gigabyte card, because of the shortage, will i get another 7990? how are gigabyte with EOL GPU RMA's?

it has coil whine and makes a clicking noise when under load, also its getting worse, when i first got it, it was hardly noticable, so i mite have to RMA it, not sure what ill happen tho as they are EOL.

i will want at least the same or better performance if another 7990 is not available.

Not for the price you paid I'm guessing. A 290x wont be far behind but that's about it.

ive been wandering the same........I paid £500 from ocuk and have really loud coil whine, random bsods, weird happenings, driver stopped responding, bf4 crashing every 5 minutes.....didn't do this with my older card.......im even getting bsod at windows start up......even with a clean install of windows......im getting atikmpag.sys bsod and bad_pool_header bsod at startup ive run memtest and this gives no errors.......

wouldn't mind a swap for a gtx 780 but don't want a ati card.......

That isn't necessarily an issue with the 7990 (apart from the coil whine).
