Hmm, 1.45 still a bit hot. Hit 65° on the core after 10 mins of overdrive. Will try AIDA.
Just finished two hours of stress testing and no problems 4.8ghz
65C isn't too awful. What about 1.43v with LLC extreme?
Can you explain llc to me? I don't really understand which way it works. I extreme tightening the permisable voltage variations, or slackening them?
Just realised that overdrive includes FPU calcs so I'm a little less annoyed with the temps now!
Lots of great clocks on these
Normally when the CPU is under load the voltage drops (vdroop), which can cause a crash. LLC counters that by raising the voltage the higher load the CPU has. If it's perfectly balanced you just won't see any change, but usually extreme will make the voltage slightly rise under full load instead.
Best Overclocking chip ive ever owned if im being honest, also buying a refurbed H80 is also one of the best investments ive ever made.
Actually you know what im chuffed to bits with it really, Ive taken a £120 processor & squeezed this much out of it.
Yeah, it's impressive how far they go. Yours will outperform a 9590 in multithreaded stuff (as that runs at 4.7GHz).
